"there she be, hey girl"
jo followed jj and kie as they all entered the old, rusty warehouse that apparently held the phantom
"a 1983 formula 402 sr1" jj happily hummed while staring at the boat, both kie and jo shared a jokingly concerned expression before turning back to jj, who clicked his tongue to get their attention
"the first boat ti make the run to bermuda in under 16 hours, girls" jj grinned, making jo smile at how happy he looked "forty years old! forty. and still the faster thing that kildare's ever seen"
"it's kind of a junker" kie admitted
"really?" jj looked at her "she's right there, kie. she can hear you" jj pointed to the boat with a straight face, making jo chuckle "let's just put it this way. you would not be smokin' weed right now is she never existed, okay?"
jj grabbed jo by her waist, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close "what do you think, babe?"
"it's amazing" she smiled "but i just hope it runs"
"oh, no, she'll run all right" he pulled away and started fiddling with the boat trailer so they could attach it to kie's car "she's faster than any cutters the boys in boy got"
they heard the sound of a dirty bike "pope! finally!" jo ran towards him but rafe walked in front of here
"hey, there. what's goin' on?"
jo and kie froze as they saw the blonde crazy boy "jj? hey, babygirl" jo almost gagged at the nickname
kie and jo walked back to jj as rafe jumped over the phantom, the three heard a whistle behind them reveling barry, the drug dealer, walking towards them. jo flinched as she heard a gun click and when she saw that barry was directly pointing the gun at jj, her heart almost stopped, just the thought of loosing jj made her weak in her knees.
jj had his hand in the air "see, don't think i forgot about me and you on the side of the road" barry growled and he took another step towards jj "i'm here because i want my motherfuckin' money"
barry grabbed jj from the back of his neck and threw him into the ground. immediately jo and kie launched themselves forward towards the boys. but rafe pulled them by the hair and pulled them away
"that's what i'm here for!" barry yelled and pushed jj's head against the floor
"it's not you that we want" rafe told the two girls "where's john b?"
"we don't know!" kie yelled and slapped race's face
"stay down boy" barry spoke up
"jj! jj!" jo tried to ran and help him but rafe grabbed her by her neck, doing the same thing to kie. his hands wrapped around their necks and lifted them up, their foot not touching the floor
