It was dark when kie, pope, jj and jo stopped the boat in front of the cameron's house, looking for any sign of john b
"what now?" jj questioned sat on the bow with jo between his legs "we just go up to the front door and ask, 'hey, have you seen john b?'"
"look, he lives at tannyhill no? it's plausible" kie defended "look, we can play dumb"
"okay dumb?" jj scoffed
"it's pretty late" pope said
"i can go, ask for sarah" jo shrugged
"hell no" jj stated and stood up
"wh-" jo tried to talk but kie cut her off "look, i've never seen john b like that. we should honestly be going to the cops"
"the cop-yeah, and say what, kie?" jj scoffed "we're worried about our friend because he's on a rampage because ward cameron killed big john?"
"kie, do you seriously think they are gonna believe us? four teens against the most rich dude of the island?" jo said
"hey, i see ward" pope spoke out looking at the house with a binoculars
kie stalked over to take the object from his hands "let me see"
"doesn't look dead to me" pope shrugged "let's go home"
"wait" jj said
kie stared at the brunette boy incredulously "what?"
"uh...okay. obviously, mr. cameron is fine, and even if john b was here, he isn't now, okay?" pope said making jo and jj stalk away from him and kie, already aware of what could happen as kie looked at them asking for help "plus, i have the biggest, most important moment of my life in six hours"
"we can do something without pope. kie, look, he worked his entire life for this" jo defended her friend aware of what that meant for him
"yeah, well, our friend is in trouble" kid argued
"i'm in trouble" pope stated "guys, i haven't been home in three days. my dad's probably put all my shit in the street by now"
"okay, so that's it?" kie scoffed
"i'm gonna go" jo whispered at jj as kie kept arguing with pope
"no" jj stated
"jj..."
"no and i'm not gonna repeat myself once more" he almost seemed angry but he just wanted to protect her and she knew that but she was stubborn, especially if it was about her friends
