The pogues went back to the twinkie, kie and pope sat in the front while john b and jo were in the back and jj was standing with his arms against the door. john b had a cold can against his forehead
"well, that was a little unexpected" jj said then he emptied his can and burped making jo scold him
"was it?" kie said
"hey, maybe she'll come around" jj said to john b, making jo doubt about that
"it's like everything that happened between us didn't matter" john b said with a tired voice
"that's not true, jb" jo tried to comfort him

the five pogues went back to the château, lighted a bonfire and grilled some meat
"i've had more black eyes in the last month than i've ever had" pope joked as jo and jj sat back around the bonfire next to each other
"that was building up for years. rumble in the jungle" jj said then touched his meat and burned himself making jo mumble an 'idiot'
"hey, did you really stick up for sarah?" john b asked kie
"of course i did. she's not a real kook" kie answered with her food still in her mouth
"yeah, tell that to topper" pope said and in that moment jo's phone rang
"still down for the sweet spot?" sarah texted her
"i'm at the château. after what happened to the bonfire i'm not sure i should come. plus something happened with jj and i don't think i should leave" jo texted back
"i need to know everything. is it something good?" sarah asked
"i think? we kissed. i'll tell you everything. sorry about the sweet spot and the fight" jo texted
"don't worry"
"are you okay? we didn't have the chance to talk about...you know?"
"my father? we'll talk about that too. but i'm coping. i'm tired now. i'll call you tomorrow. goodnight babe"

"nobody" she answered placing her phone text to her covering the screen
