After the seven teens ran out of engine, they managed to get to the nearest island. jo, kie, sarah and cleo sat under some trees, the three pogues probably thinking about the families they left, while the three male pogues got the boat on the land.
"that's good" john b said
"good job, guy" sarah said
"jj, you all right there, buddy?" john b asked
"yeah. still a little dizzy" he answered as john b sat next to sarah and pope next to cleo while jj stood next to jo
"you should sit down" jo told jj
"i'm fine, babe" he said caressing her head "okay, anybody know where we're at?"
"deserted beach. unknown island" pope answered
"all right, i'll take that as a no" jj joked then everyone went silent until jj spoke again "plan a, huh, pope? that went well"
"this is the lowest we can go. we literally have nothing else to lose. the cross, gone" pope said
"the gold, gone" sarah said
"seriously, if we had a nickel for every time we got beat up, i'd say we're at a dollar fifty" jj said
"that's more than i got on me" kie joked
"that somehow doesn't make me feel better" jo said
"yeah, you're right" john b said making everyone look at him "but, i mean, we've-we've had some good stuff happen, right?"
"name something" pope stated
"um...uh, the boiler room" john b said looking at cleo "what? i mean, if the boiler didn't explode, jo and i wouldn't have gotten away from rafe. i couldn't have gotten the zodiac and gotten us out of here"
"that's true, tho" jo said
"that wasn't luck. that thing was gonna blow the second i stopped feeding it" cleo said
"stealing my thunder, cleo" john b joked
"sorry" cleo chuckled
"okay. pope, you're related to denmark tanny" john b stated
"and i lost all his inheritance" pope argued
"you know what?" john b said standing up "guys, this is it. this is the pogue life. we're in the caribbean. it's our own little slice of paradise. with my best friends, with my family. i don't know. i wouldn't wanna do it with anyone else. look, and while you guys were complaining about every little thing..."
john b walked towards jj that stuck his knife in the tree "jj?"
"hmm?"
john b pointed to the sea "i was looking at those burly lefts"
"there's some slabs out there" jj stated
"just a few" john b smirked then looked at jo and kie "girls, see that? i know you wanna get out"
"no boards" kie stated
"well, we can bodysurf till we make some boards" john b chuckled making jo smirk
