I exited the car that me and Laura had used to travel to the cabin. A wave of nerves had surged through, the closer we got to the destination, the more anxious I got.

When I got out of Laura's car, I pulled my suitcase from the back and flung a backpack over my shoulder. Before we walked to the cabin, I pull my jeans higher up my waist and fiddle with the turtleneck crop top I had on. Taking a deep breathe, I walk besides Laura, down the trail leading to the cabin, pulling my suitcase with me.

"Charlie and Daniela should already be waiting and Jacob will probably be here in about an hour." Laura says, putting my mind at ease.

"What about Rose?"

"She can't make it till tomorrow." Laura clears her throat and waved at Charlie as soon as she sees him.

"Prince Charles! You made it!" She drops her suitcase and runs into his arms, Charlie spins her around in her arms.

I give a quick hug to Daniela and introduce myself to her, she seems really sweet. "Aria!" Charlie shouts, bringing me into a big hug. "I've missed you so much, you bitch!"

I laugh as he spins me around and Laura unlocks the door to the cabin.

"Our three month relaxation time start now!" Laura yells as Charlie runs past her and into the cabin. Daniela laughs and follows after him. "Charlie and Daniela, you guys will be at the end of the corridor, at the top of the stairs, where you can make as much noise as you like."

Laura winks at Daniela, causing her to blush bright red.

"Aria, directly at the top of the stairs." I nod in understanding and finally get a good look around the cabin.

There was a kitchen at the far end of the cabin, and right next to the entrance, was a living area. A huge plasma screen television was stuck to the wall and every aspect of the place was completely modern.

"Do you have anything planned for today?" I turn to look at Laura.

"I think we all need a rest, the real shit will happen tomorrow." She winks again before grabbing her suitcase and pulling it into a room.

I chuckle and somehow pull my suitcase up the stairs. The first room at the top of the stairs. Pulling open the door, I gasp in awe at the room in front of me. A huge bed sat in the middle of the room and a fireplace was at the side of it. A chester drawer had a lamp on it on the other side. I pulled open a drawer that was on the other side of the room and saw that it was completely empty. I dropped my backpack onto the ground and left my suitcase at the door.

Shrugging off my leather packet, I drop it onto a wooden table that was next to the drawer. Virtually everything was made of wood. The large windows showcased the woods that were behind the cabin. I just knew that, at sunset, the view would be incredible.

I slumped onto the bed, laying on my stomach. A deep groan left my throat. I decided to sleep for a while and prepare myself for Jacob's arrival.

When I awoke, I was fresh and ready to face the day. I washed my face in the en suite bathroom and retied my hair into a ponytail. Grabbing my phone from my backpack, I checked the time. I had been asleep for almost two hours. Damn.

Deciding to go downstairs, I quickly moisturise my face and pull my suitcase into my room before shoving my earphones in and closing the door behind me. I rush down the stairs and, focusing my sight on my phone, into the kitchen.

What shall I listen to? A podcast? Nah, Chase Atlantic it is. I click on my playlist and music blasts into my ear, causing me to jump in fright.

It was Laura clearing her throat that caused me to look up. And what I saw, was Jacob. In all his glory.

Shit! I completely forgot that he was here. My eyes widen when I realise that I hadn't seen him in two years, and here he was, right in front of me. I felt a pull at my heart when he met my eyes, no emotion in his brown eyes. His eyes were beautiful. Now... they're just blank.

It was at this moment that I realised that I wasn't ready to confront him. I wasn't ready to tell him the truth and I wasn't ready to see him. Still looking at him as he leaned against the counter, I noticed the bags under his eyes, the soreness in them and the pale skin. If anything, he looked better and worse. He was more muscular, I noticed the muscles under his shirt. He was also taller, a lot taller than me. There was a vodka bottle resting limply in his hand.

Before I could say anything, he stands straight, takes a swig from his drink and walks away. And the worst thing was, I understood why he did. I had used him. I had lied to him and I know that being lied to is a horrible feeling.

Laura stood near the sink and a low whistle left her mouth.

"That was not what I was expecting."

I sigh sadly, getting a glass of water.

"Don't worry, he hardly talked to me either." Laura tried to reassure me but I'm still worried that for the next three months, I won't hear a peep out of Jacob.

It was hard to sleep after that. Not only did I already have two hours of sleep a while ago, my mind is also reeling over Jacob. I had hoped to talk to him but he walked away. I understood why he did, though. I understand that he's angry over what I did to him but I had hoped that he would have given me a chance to talk to him.

As I fell asleep, my last thought was of a certain brown eyed boy.

Her room:
