Wade is the Grandson of The Dark Wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, the Second Most Powerful Dark Wizard in history. He hides his last name so no one will see him as just the grandson of a Dark Wizard but just him, Wade.

Wade's Grandfather was in fact Gellert Grindelwald as his daughter Chara Grindelwald was hidden away from the Global Wizarding War.
Wade was a black haired Hydra Animagus with black eyes and fair skin. He often wore dark colored clothing that matched but he wasn't emo at all, he just like dark colored clothing.
Wade's most notable physical attribute was his scar running down his left eye.

It made him look very intimidating and the way he got his scar was in a very bad way.
Wade lived with his parents Roman Torchwick and Chara Torchwick, they both met when they were in Hogwarts with the Marauders, Lily and Snape. Their fathers fought against each other in the War and when Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald, Roman's grandfather, Axel and Dumbledore found the child and Dumbledore raised her as his own.
Chara was gifted in charms and divination while Roman was gifted in dueling and potions. They met in the first year and got together on the third year, they married 5 years after graduating Hogwarts and had Wade as Wade is the same age as Harry.
When Voldemort found out about Chara being a Grindelwald, he sent one of his death eaters to force her to join them but she refused and fought back only to be killed in front of her husband and child. Roman was a Wolf Animagus and he was so in blind rage that he slashed Wade's face giving him the scars.
Wade gave Roman the cold shoulder for about a year before forgiving him. Roman let Wade have Muggle stuff as he took him to America every summer and Wade's favorite Muggle thing was Star Wars as he watched all of the movies and owned the book Star Wars: Heir to the Empire.
Roman taught Wade some potions while working in the Ministry as a Senior Auror as he was considered one of the best next to Alastor Moody. Wade knew his basic potions and some advance potions like the Polyjuice Potion.
When Wade turned 11, he received a Hogwarts Letter and Roman couldn't be more proud. However things were not going to be peaceful for Wade as not only was Harry Potter entering Hogwarts the same year as he is, but two girls will have a rivalry over his love.
