Year 2 Chapter 1: Gilderoy Lockhart

It was very uneventful for Wade in the summer, mostly since he is alone more than half the time. Roman took him to America and he bought Star Wars: The Dark Force Rising.

Actually when they returned from America, they visited the Weasleys and Ron saw that Wade wasn't that bad even if he doesn't smile. Ginny got along well with Wade and he almost smiled. Almost.

He keeps reading the book like he did the first book but also he has been learning more spells and potions. Snape sent Roman a letter that Wade was one of his more advanced students so of course Roman was proud of him.

Wade has been getting letters from Penny, Tonks, Ben and a few from Merula. Merula just sends some insulting letters and how she's better than Wade, etc. Wade didn't really care and just sent one letter saying "Miss you too. See you at Diagon Alley". He didn't get any more letters after he sent that one.

Wade already knew defensive and offensive spells, he knew his fair share of charms and even some transfiguration spells that Roman has been teaching him. He's pretty much more advanced than anyone in his year.

He still wasn't sure why Tonks bothers to send him letters when she's in the house every Tuesday and Thursday. She literally tries to spend every minute with him but leaves him alone when he goes to the bathroom or when she needs to go to the bathroom. She follows him like a lost puppy and doesn't stop clinging to him.

Roman and Andromeda think it was a love potion but they tried every way to remove a love potion and nothing. They were now sure, Tonks could be in love with Wade and neither one of Wade or Tonks knew of this.

Wade was reading a comic book as Roman looked over Wade's Hogwarts School Materials for the list.

Roman: I can't believe this.

Wade: what?

Roman: most of the books here, no, all but the very first book are of that attention seeker Gilderoy Lockhart.

Wade: sounds like you had some history with him.

Roman: he was four years below my year and he was always an attention seeker. Got in trouble for that a few times.

Wade: I don't exactly see the problem. Maybe the New Defense Agaist the Dark Arts teacher is a fan of him.

Roman: really?

Wade: hey maybe Dumbledore got Grandpa Axel to teach there.

Roman: not likely, he despises Lockhart as much as I do. And he would have told us as soon as he got the job.

Wade: maybe. Guess we're going to Diagon Alley.

Roman: I've always been there for Hogwarts School Supplies. It's the most reliable place.

Wade: whatever you say.

Roman: so how's it going with that Supremacist girl?

Wade: Merula? Haven't seen her all summer. She kept sending me hate letters until I sent one back and she shut up.

Roman: hmm.<thinks about her behavior>

Wade: what?

Roman: nothing just thinking about something.

Wade: ok?

Roman: get decent, we're going shopping. At least this time it won't be as much.

Wade: alright.

Roman: also wear you Hogwarts cloak.

Wade: why?

Roman: because you do it when you're already in Hogwarts and have to represent your house.
