Chapter 6: Torchwick Christmas

Hogwarts No POV

Wade and Merula were in the Slytherin Common Room as Wade already packed his stuff. He felt a little nice and wanted to do something nice for Merula.

Wade: last chance, Merula, Hunter is fast enough to get the letter to my dad and bring it back here by either tonight or morning.

Merula: and I kept telling you, NO! I want to have a peaceful Christmas!

Wade: you sure?

Merula: I'm sure.

Wade: alright, I felt nice and wanted to do something nice but I guess it's just gonna be me, dad and Grandpa Axel.

Merula: wait, Axel? As in, Axel Torchwick? The Legendary Auror who stood up to Gellert Grindelwald and lived?! The same Axel Torchwick who stood next to Dumbledore when he was facing Gellert Grindelwald?! That Axel Torchwick?!

Wade: there's another Axel Torchwick?

Merula: don't you have siblings?

Wade: I wish.

Merula: what about your mother?

Wade:<stays silent>

Merula: sorry. It's just that, I hate living with my Aunt. I want to stay as far away from her as I can. Being in Hogwarts brings me some peace as I try to get away from her as much as possible.

Wade: I see. You and Potter have that in common, seems he doesn't want to go back to where he currently lives.

Merula: how do you know?

Wade: Ben told me when I asked him if he was going home or staying here. He said that Potter was the first one to write his name as one of the ones who aren't going. Just like you did with the Slytherin list.

Merula: ok.

Wade: let's go meet with the others.

Merula: why can't we just do this ourselves? We don't need them.

Wade: maybe because someone didn't keep her mouth shut and spilled the beans.

Merula: why would I spill beans?

Wade: it's a figure of speech that means that you told the secret without thinking or worrying about who might be listening.

Merula: I already said I'm sorry.

Wade: it doesn't cut it. I'm not gonna ask about your parents since that will probably be a sensitive topic so let's just stop talking here and go get some food, ok?

Merula: yeah.

Wade and Merula met Penny and Tonks on the way to the Great Hall as they sat together eating some roasted chicken legs with Mac and cheese.

Wade: so, Penny, Tonks and I are going back to our families. Merula, you're the only one staying here right?

Merula: that's right.

Tonks: what about the investigation?

Wade: Merula will continue in our absence.

Merula: really?

Wade: just look for the name of Nicholas Flamel and find out what he is best at so we can narrow down what the Three Headed Dog is guarding.

Merula: alright.

Penny: I think Potter and Weasley are staying as well.

Merula: great, just what I needed.

Wade: just focus on the name, just skim through at least 5 books a day or at least every two days.
