Chapter 7: Late Night Search

Hogwarts No POV

Wade walked over to Professor Lupin's Office and found him doing some paperwork.

Wade:<knocks on the door>

Lupin: Mr Torchwick, come in, what can I do for you?

Wade: I was wondering, Professor, if you could write me a permit to read a book from the Restricted Section.

Lupin; and what book would that be?

Wade: Wandless Magic.

Lupin: May I ask why?

Wade: I wish to practice it.

Lupin; I heard that you were advanced than most of your peers in your year. This... this is way too advanced.

Wade: I'm just gonna try it. It's not like I will actually get it.

Lupin: very well.<writes the permission> here you go.

Wade:<takes it> thank you, Professor.

Wade walks out as Lupin sees him go. Wade just walked straight to the Library and gave the permission to Madam Pince and she got the book for him as he sat on a corner table and started reading.

Elsewhere

The Golden Trio were on their way to go see Hagrid.

Hermione: beautiful day.

Ron: gorgeous. Unless, of course, you've been ripped to pieces.

Harry; ripped to pieces? What are you talking about?

Hermione; Ronald has lost his rat.

Ron: I haven't lost anything. You cat killed him.

Hermione: rubbish.

Ron: Harry, you've seen the way that bloodthirsty beast of hers is always lurking about. And Scabbers is gone.

Hermione: well, maybe you should learn to take better care of your pets!

Ron: your cat killed him!

Hermione; did not.

Ron: did.

Hermione: didn't.

They were at the edge of the lake as Hagrid was in his fancy suit with the pants rolled up as he was skipping rocks.

Hermione: how did it go, Hagrid? The hearing?

Hagrid; well, first off, the committee members took turns talking about why we were there. And then I got up and did my piece, said Buckbeak was a good hippogriff, always cleaned his feathers. And then, Lucius Malfoy got up. Well, you can imagine. He said Buckbeak was a deadly and dangerous creature who would kill you as soon as he look at you.

Hermione; and then?

Hagrid: and then he asked for the worst, did ol' Lucius.

Ron: they're not sacking you.

Hagrid: no, I'm not sacked. Buckbeak's been sentenced to death.

Harry: but what about Mr Torchwick? Wouldn't he had been understanding?

Hagrid: Roman was there. He was silent during the entire hearing. I don't blame him, the Minister is overworking him trying to catch Sirius Black and the last thing he needs is to worry about Wade being injured a lot. So... after the hearing, he said he was sorry. Then left.

Later

Madam Pince had to tell Wade that the library was closing as he spent the entire day reading the book over and over again until he memorized every single page so he can start practicing alone. It was really late at night.
