Wade is the Grandson of The Dark Wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, the Second Most Powerful Dark Wizard in history. He hides his last name so no one will see him as just the grandson of a Dark Wizard but just him, Wade.

Wade was pushing his cart with all his stuff down King's Row with Roman next to him.
Roman: do you have all your books?
Wade: yes.
Roman: your clothes?
Wade: hard to forget those.
Roman: your wand?
Wade: yes.
Roman: your books?
Wade: you already asked me that.
Roman: just making sure you didn't forget your book. Like I did in my first year.
Wade: then how did you study for you classes?
Roman: I had to study with your mom. It was hard since we were both in different houses but we managed to make it work.
Wade: so what you're saying is that if you didn't forget your books then you wouldn't have been as close to mom and I wouldn't have existed.
Roman: um...
Wade: dad, stop. I have everything and I'm not missing anything so you can relax.
Roman: ok. Ok. Here's the barrier.
Wade and Roman went through the invisible barrier as they walked past several older students already there in Platform 9 3/4.
Roman; ah this brings back memories.
Wade: ok well, while you're having a nostalgia trip, I'm gonna go board the train.
Roman: ok, sure. Love you, Son. Write to me every week, more preferable on Sundays.
Wade: whatever you say, Dad, love you too.
Roman: hey, Wade.<throws him a bag of coins>
Wade:<catches it>
Roman: just in case you get hungry on the way.
Wade: thanks, dad.
Wade boarded the train and sat down in a empty compartment as he arrived a little early than most of the new students.
Wade and Roman trained in the few weeks they had together on defensive and dueling spells like the shield charm, Incarcerous, Confringo, Bombarda, Stupefy, Expelliarmus, Flipendo and Immobulus. Wade was a fast learner.
Wade looked out the window and saw some recognizable people like the Weasleys, Draco Malfoy and Tonks. He just hoped she doesn't find him as he wanted this trip to Hogwarts to be peaceful. Yet he still didn't get his wish.
The compartment door opened and there she was, Merula Snyde with all her smugness and wearing the Hogwarts robe.
