Chapter 9: Voldemort

Quidditch Field No POV

The stands were packed as Flitchwick was leading the band to play a lively March. Amos ran in as he presented Cedric then the next ones to arrive were Fleur with Madame Maxime and Grabrielle, then Krum with Igor then Wade with Dumbledore and Roman.

There was even split among the champions fans as Wade's friends all wore something green to represent their loyalty for Wade. There are also four entrances to the maze each with a colored flag that represent who will be going where.

Dumbledore:<speaker voice> Sonorus!

The crowd quiets.

Dumbledore: earlier today, Professor Moody placed the Triwizard Cup deep within the maze. Only he knows its exact position. Now, as Mr Torchwick... <his fans cheered> and Mr Diggory <his fans cheered> are tied for first position, they will be the first to enter the maze, followed by Mr Krum... <his fans cheer> and Miss Delacour. <her fans cheered>

Moody walked out of the maze as Krum saw him.

Dumbledore: first person to touch the cup will be the winner. I've instructed the staff to patrol the perimeter. Should, at any point, a contestant wish to withdraw from the task, he or she need only send you red sparks with their wands. Contestants! Gather around.<they gathered around Dumbledore> in the maze, you'll find no dragons or creatures of the deep. Instead, you'll face something even more challenging. You see, people change in the maze. Oh, find the cup if you can. But be very wary. You could just lose yourselves along the way. As well as there will be other things in the maze to challenge you. <talks back to the crowd> champions, prepare yourselves!

The champions went to their starting places as Roman hugged Wade.

Roman; you'll do great. You be careful in there.

Wade: don't worry about me. I'll be fine.

Amos:<hugs his son> hey, champ. Good luck. My boy.

Cedric: see you later, Dad.

Roman and Amos went to the stands as Wade and Cedric nodded to each other.

Dumbledore; on the count of three. One- <the cannon went off>

Wade and Cedric went in as it closed behind. Wade started walking around as he was being cautious. The air in the maze felt a little dread but Wade kept on moving forward. He was just walking before he moved backwards away from an Acromantula attack.

Wade: Arania Exumai.

Wade fired the spell at the spider killing it instantly.

Wade: so there's more.

The others faced their own challenges as well like Cedric facing a Boggart, Krum facing some Blast-Ended Skrewts, Fleur some stone knights. The maze was filled with dangers. So much that a normal person would go crazy or get very frustrated. Each champion kept on moving as Cedric almost got crushed by the plant walls closing.

Wade kept on walking as he saw what seemed to be a drop with spikes on the bottom. The walls moved in a pattern of pushing someone into the whole or letting them pass. Wade timed it and ran past the walls and kept on moving forward.

Fleur was getting very desperate just running around without any plan and just hoping for the best. She got tripped as she got caught by Devil's Snare so she used a light spell to make it go away from her. She kept on running around as she bumped into someone and fell.

Wade: what the? Fleur?

Fleur: Wade!<hugs him> good thing I found you! I can't do this! I don't know where I'm going I-
