Chapter 8: The Trapdoor and End of School Year.

Hogwarts No POV

Wade was walking with Merula, Tonks, Penny and Ben as they just finished their finals.

Merula: ugh! I'm beat! I can't believe McGonagall's test was that hard!

Penny: tell me about it. I found potions to be the easiest.

Tonks: that's because you are great at that class. I'm sure Snape considers you one of his best students. I for one didn't understand anything!

Merula: maybe because you stayed up setting up pranks instead of studying. George and Fred Weasley helped you as well.

Tonks: on right.

Penny: what about you, Ben?

Ben: well, Wade helped me with potions but everything else I understood and I excelled in Charms.

Penny: good for you.

Merula:<looks at Wade> you seem awfully quiet.

Wade: just planning what we are going to do tonight. To get that stone before Potter and his friends. Ben, can I ask you a favor?

Ben: sure.

Wade: can you stall Potter and his friends since they're in your house?

Ben: I can try but I can't do it alone.

Wade: then find someone who can help you.

Ben: ok. Oh I know who, I'll see you guys later. <runs off>

Merula: you do realize he is not going to be able to stop them right?

Wade: that's why I said stall. We need to get under that trapdoor tonight and stop Potter and his friends.

Merula: we are in two different houses, Filch or one of the teachers will catch us.

Wade: unless one of them gives us their approval.

Penny: and who will do that?

Wade: Snape.

Tonks: are you sure?

Wade: I am. We meet later tonight at the third floor corridor. Bring your wands.

Penny: understood.

Tonks: aye, aye, Cap'n!

Merula: right.

They all went their ways as Wade went to Snape's office. He told Snape everything he knew and got the green light to chase after Potter and his friends as he encountered them being suspicious earlier.

Gryffindor Common Room Late Night

Harry, Ron and Hermione got out of their dormitories in casual clothing as they went down the stairs. They had the invisibility cloak but they saw Trevor, Neville's toad.

Harry: Trevor.

Ron: Trevor, shh, go! You shouldn't be here.

Neville:<stands up from the armchair> neither should you.

Ben:<stands up from the other arm chair> you're not going anywhere.

Neville: you're sneaking out again, aren't you?

Harry: now, Neville, Ben, listen. We were-

Ben: no. We won't let you!

Neville; you'll get Gryffindor into trouble again. I-I'll fight you.
