Wednesday

We were supposed to have you first track meet on Wednesday, but it was freakin canceled because of "bad weather." It rained/snowed for like an hour, if that, from like eight thirty to nine thirty and when the rain stopped, it was sunny and sixty degrees for the rest of the day. I mean I know the school in Longmont that we were going to for the meet was lower down and it had a dirt track, but still. How bad could it have been?

We didn't have practice either. That was really stupid. The meet was canceled, but why was practice canceled? There was absolute no reason whatsoever to cancel track practice just because we weren't going to have our meet until Friday. Instead, I went to good movie, better book with Camryn, Taylor, Hailey and Gabby.

When I got home, I grabbed some ice cream and ran up to my room, where I was planning to watch YouTube for the next few hours. My mom can upstairs to ask what I wanted for dinner and as soon as she walked into my room, I turned off my iPad. She took my iPad because she didn't like the way I always turned it off when she walked by. It's nothing personal, I just don't like people standing over my shoulder so I turn my iPad off.

Thursday

I still didn't have my iPad back, but we did have track practice again. That was a plus. Taylor and Gabby ditched and went to game club instead. I hung out with Mindy, Connor and T.K. T.K. and Connor were being really weird.

We didn't get much practicing done. For a while, I was standing in a corner, between the school and a door because that was the only shade I could find. I like the shade. I would rather die of hypothermia than be too warm. I HATE being hot.

That was about it.

Friday

We had our first track meet today. I always get really excited for the meets, but they're kind of stressful, actually. You know, between having to get out of class on time to get changed and hear Mr. Brands speech about crap that we've been over so many times and getting on the right bus and representing Erie Middle School. I love them nonetheless.

After the half an hour bus ride with all of the freakin popular people, we finally got to the school. The popular girls brought a freakin selfie stick!!!! They hit Gabby in the head with it at least twice. Anyway, we were the first school to show up, as always. At least that meant we were able to warm up without other schools watching us.

The first event I did was shot put with Taylor and Mindy. I didn't do that well, at least compared to the grows I had in practice. I only got nineteen feet, one inch. My throws during practice are like twenty two feet or farther.

After we did shot put, we had to do hundred meter dash. I think it's kind of stressful, getting assigned a heat and a lane and everything. My name wasn't on the God damn list! I had to put it back on at least three times cause someone, probably Patience in my opinion, deleted names on the list. The only open stop was with a bunch of crazy fast people. I wound up getting second and I was really surprised.

I had to do discus next. There were only like nine people in front of me. They were all really stupid sixth graders discussing their boyfriends and rolling on the ground. Half an hour later, I'm still waiting to throw and I cut in front of five of them! It was so ridiculous. The line took forever to move three feet. I ended up throwing over thirty two feet. I would compare that to my throws during practice if I had done it at all before now.

We did ok in our relay. We wound up getting fourth place. We didn't really practice running at all and we practiced passing off the baton for like five minutes on Tuesday.

We finally got back to Erie Middle at NINE P.M!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so ridiculous. At least for the bus ride, I got my own seat and I was able to listen to my music really loud without anyone complaining.

YOLO
