They all loaded in a boat and headed silently towards the village.

Yuma scratched absently at the bandages on her bicep, and each time, Sasuke slapped her hand away, scolding her as Sakura sighed and Naruto talked animatedly to Yuma about training.

"Tazuna- San," Kakashi said, gaining the attention of the kids. "I need you to tell me why those mist nin were after you, otherwise, we'll have to end this mission once we dock."

And so, Tazuna set to explaining the situation. About the tyrant drug lord, Gato, and the way the bridge was the only way to help the land waves get out of poverty.

"But that's find if you want to leave me," Tazuna said, sighing. "I'll understand. Oh but my poor grandson, how he'll cry. 'Grampa! Where's my grampa!'. And my dear daughter will probably swear vengeance your village forever. But that shouldn't concern you."

"I hate guilt trippers," Yuma said suddenly, staring at Tazuna, who gulped. "I can't be guilt tripped. But, I like you, Tazu-chan, and I promised to get you back safely. So even if my team leaves, I'll stay until your bridge is finished."

And after seeing what she was capable of, Tazuna felt safer already.

Kakashi sighed. "Aaaaand since I can't change her mind and also refuse to leave her behind, I suppose we have no choice but to stick with Yuma."

"Thank you," Tazuna said gratefully before winking over his shoulder. I win.

Yuma grinned at Kakashi's tired look and kicked her legs innocently. Kakashi couldn't keep from chuckling and shaking his head.

"This is as far as I go," the boat rower said, stopping the boat.

"I appreciate it," Tazuna said, nodding. The boat zoomed away and they set off again.

Yuma kept to the back, sharp red eyes gazing around the foliage.

"There!" Naruto yelled, throwing a kunai. Yuma was in front of him in a second, kunai palmed and crouched in a defensive stance.

"What is it?" She demanded, glaring at the bush.

Naruto pushed away his shock at her abnormal speed and smirked. "Heh, must have just been a mouse."

"Yeah, right!" Sakura yelled.

"Naruto, those kunai are dangerous," Kakashi said wearily.

"Baka!" Yuma said, hitting the blondes head. "If I hadn't sworn to protect you, do you know what I'd do?!"

"Gomen!" Naruto said, cowering away. "Wait, there!" He threw a second kunai.

"That's it!" Sakura yelled.

"Wait," Yuma said, and Sakura paused. "He wouldn't risk it a second time when I just warned him. He's not that stupid," she said as she approached the bush.

"Right! Wait- HEY!"

Kakashi walked up beside Yuma and pushed the foliage to the side. A white rabbit sat, paralyzed with fear, the kunai lodged an inch over its head.

"Oh! I'm sorry, bunny!" Naruto said guiltily, cradling the bunny in his arms.

"Get down!" Kakashi yelled. Everyone hit the dirt, and a giant sword flew overhead, lodging into a tree.

A large man landed on the hilt, his back facing the group....
