Yuma awoke in an unfamiliar place and reacted as most would not.

"MOTHER OF A DAMN MONKEY WHERE THE HELL AM I?!"

She jumped to her feet, looking frantically around.

"Kashi-" she stopped herself, horrorstruck as she remembered what she had done.

She had hurt him.

She. Had. Hurt. Him.

Kakashi slammed open the door, and Yuma saw the splint on his wrist. His gaze locked with hers.

"Yuma," he said, and she took a step back. "Yuma, what's wrong?"

"I hurt you...." She whispered. "I'm horrible..."

"No!" He said quickly. "Really, Yuma, I'm fine. It should be healed up in a week or so. It was only dislocated."

"I hurt you," she repeated. "How could I... Hurt you?"

Kakashi stepped forward, and his team, Tazuna, and his daughter appeared in the doorway.

"Yuma, calm down," Kakashi said slowly. "It's okay."

"I..." Yuma spoke with a strangled voice, doubling over and digging her nails into her arms. "I... I'm despicable..."

"No, Yuma," Kakashi said, taking another step.

Yuma gasped, her hands flying up to clutch her head. "I... I threatened to kill you!"

"It's okay, Yuma," Kakashi assured. "Really, it's-"

"I don't deserve to live!" Yuma cried, grabbing a kunai and bringing it to her throat.

"YUMA!" Kakashi dove forward and caught her wrist with his good hand.

"Let go!" Yuma screamed, struggling. "I'm a monster! I need to die before I hurt you or anyone else I care about!"

"No, Yuma!" Kakashi said, tearing the kunai from her grasp and letting it clatter to the floor before hitting a pressure point in Yuma's neck, catching her small body as she fell unconscious once again.

Hours later, Yuma awoke again, weapon pouches now removed, wrapped so tightly in her blanket that she could hardly move.

"Awake?" A weary voice asked. She looked to the side and saw Kakashi.

"Kashi?"

"Are you better now?" He asked, his voice rough with the need of sleep.

Yuma looked out the window as Kakashi yawned. It must have been around midnight, from what she could see.

"I'm sorry," she said softly, looking back at her sensei. "I was overwhelmed. It all came back so quickly, and I had hurt you... I-"

"I'm fine, Yuma," Kakashi promised, smothering another yawn. "But that stunt you pulled scared the others, and me. If you ever do that again, you are grounded for... Ever, yeah, forever sounds about right."

"Yes sir," Yuma said quietly. She looked at his wrist. "Does it hurt?"

"It's not bad," he said with a shrug.

"I'm sorry..."

"I'll ground you if you keep apologizing too," Kakashi warned tiredly.

"You're sleepy," Yuma said quietly.

"No, I'm fine," Kakashi argued. "You get your rest."

Yuma squirmed, dragging herself out of her blanket and spreading it out. "Not until you do too."

Kakashi sighed, but nodded once and walked over to her. He crawled under the blanket and felt her curl into his side like a cat, her fingers twisting in the side of his shirt.

"Night, Kashi," Yuma yawned slightly.

"Good night, Yuma," Kakashi replied, yawning lightly.
