Yuma got dressed in the black legging and red spider themed dress her Grampa Saru had gotten her the day before. She was preparing to go to the academy and frighten the students, and learn to be a ninja for her Grampa's village too of course. She dressed, strapped on the so called weapon pouches Bakashi had given her, and brushed through her long grey hair. She grinned at her reflection.
There came a knock on the door.
"Yuma, are you ready yet? You're going to be late if you aren't careful," Kakashi called, opening the door before him and looking into the room. He saw the little grey headed girl look at him with a smile.
"Morning Bakashi," she grinned, using the nickname she seemed to think fit him.
"Morning, you ready to go?" he asked, trying his best to seem friendly. He told himself he'd try to change this girl, so he'd have to attempt to learn to be a parental figure.
"Yuh-huh!"
He watched as she grabbed a medium sized, black, stuffed rabbit with red button eyes, which the Hokage had gotten her, off the bed before running out of her room.
The walk to the academy was somewhat similar to the walk home from the Hokage's office the day before. Yuma had grabbed Kakashi's gloved hand and held the paw of her stuffed rabbit in her other hand, swinging the toy back and forth with the air of complete innocence, thought Kakashi often caught her staring at passing pedestrians as her hand tightened around his; she was undoubtedly thinking up the most effective murder for each person she saw. This went on for a good amount of time, only ending when the academy came into view.
"Is that it Bakashi?" Yuma asked the man beside him. An uncomfortable feeling, one of her insides tying themselves in knots, was happening. She didn't know what it meant, but knew for a fact that she didn't like it one bit.
Meanwhile, Kakashi noticed that her hand tightened considerably when she asked this, and smiled. She was nervous, even if she didn't know what nervousness was.
"Yes, it is," he answered as kindly as he could as he led her into the building and towards her classroom. "Don't worry, Yuma. You did excellently when we trained last night, and you're a very sweet girl when you aren't planning homocide. I'm sure you'll be fine."
Yuma looked up at Kakashi as he said this, and the knots in her stomach loosened. She felt like herself again, and grinned.
"I'm not worried Bakashi, but the other students should be."
"Now, Yuma-"
"I won't kill them," Yuma interrupted. "Seriously freak out, maybe, but I promised grampa I wouldnt kill."
Kakashi heaved a heavy sigh, though, whether it was one of exasperation or relief, he couldn't say.
Finally, the duo arrived at the classroom, and Kakashi knelt in front of Yuma.
"I'm going to talk to your sensei for a moment, so you wait here for just a little bit," he said.
"Kay, Bakashi!"
Kakashi entered the classroom, shutting the door after him. The children in the room silenced at once and stared at him as he crossed toward the confused Iruka-sensei.
"Kakashi-san? What brings you here?" Iruka asked.
"I've got a new student for you waiting outside," Kakashi answered boredly, glancing around the room. Excited murmurs spread through the room once the children heard this. "But I think it'd be fair to warn you and the students, lest anything bad happen."
"Er, go right ahead," Iruka said uncertainly. Kakashi turned to the class.
"It is for your safety and your safety alone that you do not anger Yuma. Do not go picking fights with Yuma, if you do, there is only the slimmest chance that you will survive with the way she is at the moment. She is a very dangerous girl, and should her self control break, I suggest strongly that you all run as fast as you can. She would not hesitate to kill you in the least."
His words made the room go silent. The students were startimg to become slightly afraid, curiousity rising, but questioning how dangerous this new kid was.
"Yuma!" Kakashi called. "Come in!"
The room was tense as the door slid open. A small body entered, and shock filled the thick air. The new girl looked harmless and beautiful, her pale face and soft features, the stuffed rabbit to her chest, her excited smile and big, sparkling eyes; how coul she be the dangerous monster-child they all had envisioned?
"That was a nice speech Bakashi!" she chirped, her voice angelic in the silence.
"How could she be dangerous?!" demanded a brunette boy with red triangles on his cheeks. The gorgeous, rust colored eyes of the new student snapped to him, and he felt the blood rise to his cheeks as she smiled sweetly.
"Yuma..." Kakashi said with a threatening and warning tone.
In a flash, the girl was gone. It took all but the brunette boy a moment to find where she was, for she appeared right before him, her face inches from his.
"Had I felt the need," she said softly, grinning as the tip of her kunai rested half a centimeter from his ear. the shallow scartch on his cheek leaked the smallest trickle of blood, and, unable to stop herself, she moved closer and licked it away. "you'd be dead," she whispered in his ear as his face burned and he trembled slightly from fear.
"Yuma!" Kakashi yelled. Yuma giggled angelically and appeared at his side once again.
"I promised I wouldnt kill them," she said softly, her eyes flashing a demonic red as she licked her lips. "But they need to know I'm not safe."
