Yuma and her team stood, staring at Kakashi with funny expressions.

"We're going to train by... Climbing trees?" Yuma asked slowly.

"Yup," Kakashi grinned. "Thought you might not have to, Yuma," Kakashi suddenly said, tapping his chin. "It seems that you're the strongest genin of team 7."

This caught the attention of a certain Uzamaki and Uchiha.

"But lets see what you got," Kakashi smiled, having received the reaction he'd been hoping for. "Just ration out the right amount of chakra to the soles of your feet and go."

"Okay!" Yuma grinned. She closed her eyes and pretended that her chakra was forming small suction cups on the bottoms of her shoes and approaching a tree. Without even a running start, she began to scale the tree, eyes shut in concentration and arms straight at her sides.

"Yuma, if you don't stop, you're going to run out of tree!" Kakashi called up, pushing his surprise to the back of his mind to ponder later.

At his words, Yuma's eyes snapped open. She looked back, and started laughing. "OI! Whatcha doin way down there?!" She called, turning around so she faced the ground. "You all look like a bunch of ants!"

Sasuke was glaring at the strange girl. How had she been able to do it so easily?! Why was her chakra level so high?! And why was her chakra black?!

The raven haired boy growled and ran at his tree, scaling it a bit in determination to reach Yuma.

Naruto just stared at the grinning girl. She was so cool! So strong! A lot stronger than that Sasuke-teme!

He ran at his tree, but his feet slid and he fell back down. Why was it so easy for her?

For hours, the team practiced, trying to get as high up as Yuma, who had been suspiciously silent for a while.

"Yuma!" Kakashi called up, slightly concerned. "You can come down now!"

But she didn't move, stayed stuck horizontally to the tree so far up that Kakashi couldn't make out her expression.

"Yuma?!" He called up again.

No response.

The other three had stopped and looked curiously to their teammate, wondering why she was so motionless.

Kakashi, eyebrows furrowed, began to scale the tree, and three minutes later, made it to Yuma. A sigh of relief rushed from his mouth. She was fine, had merely fallen asleep, though how she remained stuck to the tree, he had no clue.

He picked her up and began carrying her back down so she wouldn't fall when she woke, and he smiled as he saw his team watching in concern, even Sasuke was showing a bit of emotion.

"She's fine," he assured as he made it down. "Just fell asleep."

"And her chakra held?" Sakura asked, stunned, as relief relaxed them.

"Miraculously, yes," Kakashi smiled. "Go on training, team. I've got her."

He watched as they nodded simultaneously, new determination shining in their eyes, and turned to continue 'training'.

Kakashi placed Yuma as gently as possible down against a tree, yet as he turned to watch over the others, she stirred and opened her eyes.

Yuma had woken up from the strangest, yet nicest dream she'd ever had. She dreamt that it was her birthday, and Grampa Saru had gotten her her first cake, which was taller than herself. She had opened all kinds of presents, from purple elephants to the worlds smallest clown shoes and other bizarre gifts that she couldn't bring to mind. Yet, that wasn't what made her dream so incredible.

She had also dreamt that she had been told the most wonderful news.

She and Kakashi were, in fact, blood family. She would live with him with her last name changed to Hatake, and Kakashi had adopted her. They were one, small, happy family, where neither planned to kill each other.

And one other thing had happened that puzzled Yuma to no end, yet made her chest flutter spastically.

Shika-kun had kissed Yuma's cheek.

Yuma didn't think too much on the thought, or wonder why her cheeks felt heated, but instead gave a small grin at Kakashi's back, closed her eyes, and drifted into unconsciousness yet again.

Little did Yuma know that, not only were dreams insights to one's deepest desires, they also held a ring of truth in their riddled depths.
