Yuma got up for the academy and dressed, still slightly shaky from her nightmare the night before. Before she left, she grabbed her stuffed rabbit and held it tightly in her arms, feeling comfort from it.

She didn't see Kakashi as she walked through the house. She didn't think too much on it. She just headed to the academy.

Meanwhile, Kakashi had just joined the other sensei's and Hokage to observe the students.

"Ah, Kakashi," the Hokage said, smiling as Kakashi entered the room. The other sensei's looked to the silver haired jonin as well. "Tell me, how has Yuma been settling since the... Episode?"

"Episode?" Repeated Asuma slowly. "What episode?"

"One of the asylum workers came and attacked Yuma the other night," said Kakashi wearily. "She nearly killed him." This made the sensei's gap, but Kakashi looked at the Hokage. "She had a nightmare last night, a pretty bad one too."

"Oh?" Said the Hokage, frowning worriedly. "Any clue as to what it was about?"

"Her parents, her village, possibly some of this one as well. I think she was dreaming about the sacrifice ritual," Kakashi sighed, scratching the back of his head. "Took a while to convince her that I wasn't going to try to kill her. I finally got her back to sleep."

"I see," hummed the Hokage. "Well, I suppose I'll speak with her later. But right now we have to get started."

They all turned to the crystal ball. Naruto jumped onto the desk and glared at Sasuke, but a boy in front of them moved back, accidentally pushing Naruto towards Sasuke.

Sasuke's fangirls were just about to attack Naruto when the door slammed open and an ghostly looking Yuma appeared in the doorway, taking in the situation silently as all the children went tense and silent.

"What's the problem?" She asked, her voice icy. Shikamaru raised his head and looked at her in confusion.

"N-Nothing!" All the girls squeaked fearfully, dashing back to their seats. A small smirk graced Yuma's features as she glanced at all of them. All but one, the pink haired girl.

"Is... That a stuffed rabbit?" She demanded bravely, obviously attempting to impress Sasuke, who was staring intently at Yuma. "Aren't those for babies?"

Yuma's gaze snapped to Sakura.

"Yes, it's a rabbit," she answered slowly. She held it up. "Are you stupid? Is that why you had to ask? Huh? Or, maybe you've got a problem with my rabbit. I which case I could always kill you. What do you think?" She asked coldly as Sakura paled and began to tremble. "Are you willing to die to seem cool? Is the attention of what's-his-face over there worth the cost of your life?"

"N-No, s-sorry," Sakura squeaked, sitting down and ducking her head.

"Well," said Asuma, eyebrows raised.

The Hokage sighed. "I'd hoped she'd have at least made one friend, but they all seem too afraid of her."

"OI, Yuma!" Called one of the boys, surprising the adults and students as Shikamaru waved.

"Oh, hey, Shika," Yuma said, seemingly slightly more lively as she crossed the classroom. She grinned at him and his companion, Choji. "Hey Choji."

"Hi Yuma," Choji said, smiling as he munched happily on his chips. "What's up? You seem kinda upset."

"Yeah, you didn't practically tackle me today," Shikamaru agreed. "Is something wrong?"

"I'm fine," Yuma said softly, though her grip noticeably tightened on her stuffed bunny. "I just... Had a pretty bad nightmare last night..."

Shikamaru frowned and stood. "You okay?" He asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. She nodded and he pulled her into a hug.

Just then, Iruka entered the room and they separated.

"So she did make friends," said Kakashi, suppressing a chuckle.

"So it seems," agreed a smiling Hokage.
