"We know," what?
"A-alam n-niyo?" naguguluhan kong sambit kasabay ng pagsikip ng aking dibdib. They know? They can't be.
They both nodded as an answer and that just stop my heart from beating for a second. Hindi maari, "H-how?" nanginginig kong sambit, hiningpitan ni Naivy ang pagkakahawak sa aking kamay at nagsimulang mangilid ang luha sa kanyang mga mata.
"Tita Nyril tell us," I shiver and just slowly remove their hands from mine, ibig sabihin alam nila, alam nila ang lahat ng ito. "A year ago, Tita Nyril had a business meeting here in New York, she saw you on the doubletree hotel wearing a black wig and fake moles, she knew it was you but she didn't talk to you because ayaw ka niyang pangunahan, she even asks to meet you and watch you run to someone's shop and act like it's your when you meet her. Matagal niya nang alam ang situwasyon mo and alam kong mabigat para sa kanya iyon kaya sinabi niya sa amin." my body was just shaking while listening to Naivy and my tears just stop from falling.
"A week after she goes back to manila, we fly here to New York to check your situation and we saw you cleaning trashes," nanghihinang sambit ni Bunny at nagsimulang lumuha, "W-we s-saw you s-suffering and it hurts us so bad, but we didn't do anything because we know you don't want us to know about your situation. We helped you" her voice was cracking because of her sobs.
And all I can do right now is to shed tears while listening, it's breaking my heart. "Pinagtakpan ka namin, kila Tita Aberry at Tito Oliver, Tita Nyril helps us to hide your status here in New York, we acted like we don't know kasi alam namin na mas lalo kang mahihirapan kung malalaman mong alam namin ang situwasyon mo. Hinarang namin lahat ng flight ni Tita Aberry papunta dito sa New York, even if she begs for it. We did that for you because we love you, we understand you, so please don't be mad at us," hindi ko magawang umimik at magsalita, dahil sobrang nadudurog ang puso ko.
Lahat ng ito ay kasalanan ko, "Please Olivia, don't be mad at us," Bunny begged and try to reach my hand.
"I don't know what to say, I feel numb," I whisper, making them cry even harder and hug me. "We're so sorry, we're here for you,"
Bumuhos lalo ang luha ko dahil doon, "I should be the saying sorry to you guys, I lied to you, I was a fail---" they cut me and Bunny cupped my face and, "You are not a failure, you are just pressured Olivia, we understand you and we feel your pain, you are not a failure,"
I wrapped my arms around her waist and just cry in her arms while Naivy held my hand. "You're not a failure, you will never be one," she whispers and kissed my forehead.
Ipinikit ko ang aking mga mata at nanatili sa kanilang kamay, I need them. We stayed in that position until I calm down and stop crying. They both seated beside me and held my hands.
"I lost the money for my business that's why my life turns out like this, I hide it from everyone because I don't want to disappoint my parents but now, Mom already know it and I'm sure my dad too, I don't know how to face them anymore." nanghihina kong sambit at maluha-luha na naman silang tiningnan.
Naivy wipe my face, "They would understand you, I'm sure Tita Aberry will understand you and she will always believe you, why don't you just go home with us?" Bunny said and try to convince me with her beautiful green eyes.
"I can't go home, hindi ko kayang harapin sila Mom." umiiling-iling kong tugon, "Hindi ko kayang makita sa kanilang mga mata ang disaapointment nila sa akin, gusto kong patunayan ang sarili ko, gusto kong may marating bago bumalik sa kanila."
Naivy looks at me in the eyes and sighs before she speaks, "Is that really the reason why you are not going home?" tanong niya.
"Y-yes," nauutal kong sambit at tila iniwasan ang kanyang mga tingin.
