[Discontinued] Betrayal (A Fairy Tail Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

Narrator's POV

This is the town of Magnolia. It is located in the southeastern part of Fiore. It has a population of 60,000. Located at the western part of town is the guild hall of Fairy Tail. A rowdy, crazy, fun loving guild who's members consider each other family.

Lucy's POV

I was in the guild sitting at the bar sipping my favorite strawberry smoothie. "Hey, Lucy. Where's Natsu?" Mira asked me. "I don't know. I haven't seen him all day." I replied. "Hey, Mira. Can I get another beer?" Macao asked her from his table. I had just pulled out a book to read when Lisanna and Happy ran over to me. "Lucy, Natsu is on his way and he has something to tell you that you aren't going to like." Happy said, eyes filled with worry and pain. "We tried to talk him out of it but he won't listen." Lisanna added. Erza, Gray and Wendy came over when they heard what Happy had said before. "What's going on?" Erza asked as she folded her arms. "Natsu and I were talking and..." "Hey, Lucy. I need to talk to you for a sec." Lisanna was interrupted by Natsu coming into the guild shouting. "What is it, Natsu?" "I'm kicking you off the team." He said straightforward and kind of loudly. "Natsu, what did you just say?" Erza exclaimed. My eyes were stinging slightly. I can't believe... "I want Lisanna on the team. You're too weak to be a part of Team Natsu. You'll just hold us back from our full potential." He explained. My eyes widened as I felt pain go through my heart.

I stayed silent as I stared up at him. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Hey, why are you guy being so loud?" I heard Macao ask, walking up to our group. "Why?" I asked softly, knowing that Natsu will hear me no matter what. "I told you. You are weak. Team Natsu needs strong wizards. Not weaklings like you." "Whoa, Natsu. What are you talking about? This isn't like you." Wakaba said at hearing Natsu's words. "I just want the one I love to be on the team. Not this weak bimbo. She's weak and always gets in the way. Always getting into trouble and I have to save her. Every time. Lisanna is a much better wizard. She's able to get herself out of danger and is able to help us." Natsu said. He's right. I am weak and I do get into trouble. I rely on him to get me out of it. But, I thought... he would always be there when I needed him. "Fine. I'll leave you're team. You're right. I am weak and I rely on you to bail me out of trouble. But I thought that you would always be there for me. I thought you were my friend." I said as I got up and began walking passed him. "Why would I be friends with a weakling. You were just a replacement." He said. I ran away then. I ran up to Master's office.

Once I got up there, I knocked on the door. "Lucy, what happened?" Master Makarov asked me when he opened the door. "Master, I'm leaving the guild to train. Please, remove my guild mark." I requested. "Of course, my child. But may I ask why?" "I rely on Natsu too much to bail me out. Plus... he kicked me off the team, master. He says that I am weak and he's right." I explained to him. "Lucy, you are not weak. Everyone is strong in their own way. You grow stronger every day. But I will respect your wishes. Will you be coming back to us one day?" He said solemnly. "Yes, master. One day, I will come back. But when I do, I won't look like myself. I don't want Natsu to know until later on who it really is. When I come back, don't tell anyone it's me except for a small group of people." I told him. "Okay, Lucy. Just remember, you are always welcome to Fairy Tail. You will always be one of my children, no matter where you are." I felt tears overflow down my cheeks. "Thank you, master. Fairy Tail has been there for me through so much in such a short time. It hurts to be leaving my home but I know I must in order to get stronger. I will miss everyone here, master. Including yourself. I'll be back." I said as I walked out of his office with my head down. When I got downstairs, I ran through and out of the guild. Heading to my apartment with my head down, hiding my tears.

When I reached my place, I began packing and I changed my clothes. Then... I had an idea. I sat down at my table, pulled out some paper and took hold of my feather pen (A/N: I don't know if that's what she uses but bear with me) and ink and began writing. I wrote 7 letters and left them on my desktop. One for the guild, one for Team Natsu and one for each person. Erza, Gray, Natsu, Wendy and Lisanna.

Once I was done writing what I wanted to say to each one, I wrapped myself in a black cloak, grabbed my bag and left, locking the door behind me. I went to the train station and got a ticket to a town called Tully. When it finally arrived, as I was stepping onto the train, I looked in the direction of the guild. I'll be back one day. I'll be back a whole lot stronger. I'll make you proud, master. Then I turned back to the train and went to find a seat on board. Not long after... the train pulled away from the station.... leaving behind Magnolia. Home of Fairy Tail.

***A/N: Hiya, my precious fairies!!   Hope everyone is having a wonderful day haha. Well, that's chapter 1. Hope I did good. Later, there will be three OC's that will be joining the Fairy Tail guild.
