Chris sat in the chair they provided for him on stage and looked over at Seb as the host asked him another question about The Winter Soldier. He decidedly looked out into the crowd and smiled as he spotted Jamie four rows back. Seb is so smitten with her and he doesn't even realize it. I don't think she does either though. Thinking he heard his name, he blinked and looked over at the host again. "I'm sorry?"
"I was just saying that, in addition to playing Captain America, you have managed to be in, I think it is seven other comic book films now as well. For almost eleven years now. Longer than anybody else I think," the host restated.
"Oh," Chris smiled. "Yes. I've been with Marvel for a long time now. It has been a joy to work with them though, we've made it a bit of a family."
"And how do you feel about the new Avengers and the growing family?
"We're always growing, I think, our newest being Mackie and Tom Holland. They go through a bit of hazing, but they're a part of the gang."
"Now, we know you can't say anything about the new Civil War movie itself, but how was it working with Tom Holland in a general sense? Since he is one of the newest that hasn't really been seen in one of the films as of yet."
"He's a good kid," Chris said, getting a scoff from Sebastian. "Although he gets a lot of teasing from everyone."
"He's trouble," Sebastian stated, "He always has to have his juice box and his babysitter on set. And he's just...he's a problem. He's a problem."
Chris can't help but laugh at Seb's description, knowing that he and Anthony have taken it upon themselves to pick on Tom rather relentlessly since he is the youngest.
In the crowd, Jamie shook her head at their antics. These guys are always so much fun. I can't believe the opportunity they gave me today.
"I know the audience is excited to start asking their questions. We're getting a nice queue going, so I'll ask just one more question from me. Being on the sets over the years, the family, as you said Chris, has grown. Is there anyone that you sort of look up to on set? Like a mentor, or even just someone you have built a little deeper connection with?" the host asked.
Chris couldn't help but grin. "That would have to be the founder, as we call him. RDJ has taken all of us in as a part of the marvel family. He means a lot to me and everyone else."
The host grinned and nodded. "I think he's everyone's favorite person." He turned and faced the crowd and opened up the panel to questions, which lasted close to thirty minutes, then the panel ended peacefully.
After the panel, Chris felt drained, but happy about the first day of the convention. He walked with Seb to one of the back rooms to wait for their car that would take them to their hotel. He grabbed himself a bottle of water and sat on one of the couches with a huff. "Well... today was eventful."
"It definitely wasn't how I was expecting the day to go, but can't say I'm complaining," Seb replied as he took a seat in a chair close by. "I am kind of glad it is all over though. I'm exhausted."
"I am too. Conventions are always stressful, but they're fun." Chris looked over at Seb and smiled at him. "Besides, I think you found someone to keep your attention focused."
"I agree..." Seb caught himself, the words Chris said finally sinking in, "Wait..What? I found someone? What are you talking about?"
"You were pretty cozied up with Jamie, the young woman we met today," Chris pointed out. "I even have proof." He pulled out his phone and brought up the photos. "I've seen some of the poses you do with fans but somehow... this is different."
