Jamie took a deep breath as she got off the plane the following evening. Her hands were shaking with nerves but she felt excited to be starting a new journey. Turning around once her feet hit the floor, she reached out to take Sebastian's free hand, needing him for comfort and reassurance. "You know, I've never been to Georgia."
He gave her hand a light squeeze, "You'll love it," he assured her. The pair made their way through the airport, hand in hand the whole way. Stopping at the baggage claim, Sebastian grabbed the large bag they had opted to share as it came around the carousel, and they made their way to the car rental area.
"How far is the drive from here?" She asked, ignoring the sounds of camera flashes behind her, no doubt paps trying to get the best photos of them that they could.
"Shouldn't be too far, twenty minutes or so to the hotel. Give or take depending on traffic," he answered as they walked.
Jamie grinned, squeezing his hand. "I'm excited. This is the first time in a long time that I've been anywhere new."
"Well, if we both have a weekend off, maybe we will have to check out the ocean for a day," he suggested. "I know a great place we could visit."
"You can get to the ocean from here?" Jamie asked. "I thought it was land locked." She opened the door for him as they walked into the office to rent a car.
"Nope," he smiled, "There's a little bit that borders the ocean. There's a nice little island outside Savannah we could visit."
Jamie grinned brightly. "That sounds like a lot of fun. I wouldn't mind doing that at all." She stepped to the side and let Sebastian order the rental car and watched as the clerk handed over the keys to him.
They got into the car, a nice little convertible, and headed for the hotel. Arriving at their room, Seb opened the door and let Jamie in first. It wasn't anything fancy, but they had a nice little kitchenette that they could utilize. There was a small living room type area, with a TV, a couch, and a couple of chairs. The bedroom was through a door to the right and the bathroom was right off the main area.
Sebastian put their suitcase in the bedroom before joining Jamie on the couch. "Did you want to grab dinner, and maybe do a little grocery shopping?" he asked.
"Sure, I don't mind. You know this area a lot more than I do." She turned and curled against him, watching him get on his phone. "What's good to eat around here?"
"I know some amazing places in the city. What are you in the mood for?" he asked, kissing her hair.
"You always make me pick," Jamie said. "Why don't you choose and surprise me?"
"Fair enough," Seb laughed, "Anything I should avoid then?"
"I don't like anything super exotic, hot or spicy," Jamie shrugged. "Other than that, I'm really not picky. I like most anything."
"Perfect," he kissed her cheek. "Let's get changed, and we can head out." Seb got up from the couch and walked into the bedroom. He set the suitcase on the bed so they could each find a nice outfit to wear for dinner.
Jamie stood and followed Sebastian, leaning against the doorframe of the bedroom. "I can't remember if I packed anything really fancy. But I think I have a simple dress or two. We kind of packed my things in a hurry."
Sebastian buttoned up his black dress shirt as he turned to face her, "One of the dresses you packed will be just fine, sweetheart. Doesn't have to be too formal, just want to avoid anything too casual," he explained with a smile.
"To be fair, you look amazing in anything you wear," she countered before walking up to him and stealing a kiss. Jamie turned to their bag and quickly found a calf-length baby blue dress and got it out.
