Jamie sighed as she sat at the kitchen island, scrolling through her phone. Sebastian was in the shower, and she was determined to pick something good to fix on their date night tonight. "What on earth can I fix that he hasn't had?"

When he walked out into the main area of the apartment, he saw her with a small frown on her face. "Everything okay, babe?"

She glanced up at him before nodding and closing out her browser. "Yeah, I'm okay. I just want to fix something I've never made you before and that's proving to be difficult."

"Sweetheart, don't stress over it. Whatever you decide on will be fine," he said, stopping to kiss her cheek before walking into the kitchen.

"I just want it to be special, that's all," she replied, watching him. "It won't be much longer before we'll be apart again."

"Don't remind me," he mumbled under his breath. Turning back to face her, he smiled. "It'll be special no matter what. Though, I suppose I should probably decide on a dessert soon too so we can get the shopping done before the stores close."

"A lot of places will be closed tomorrow," she commented. "Are we needing anything to make a full grocery trip?"

"A big trip, no. We still have basics, and leftovers. Just if we need anything for our date night meal," he shrugged.

Jamie nodded as she turned and grabbed for the notepad that Seb kept on the kitchen island and began to make a list. "Do you want to watch the ball drop on tv tonight?" she asked curiously. "Or would you rather do something without all of that?"

"We can see what happens, I suppose," he replied. "If we're awake, we can watch it."

"Planning on turning in early?" She teased.

"I'm not sure," he smirked. "I have a feeling we'll be bringing in the new year in bed one way or another."

Jamie turned a bright pink and averted her gaze. "I did promise you a night where you're in charge."

"That you did..." Seb agreed.

"Are you still not gonna give me any hints?" She asked curiously.

Sebastian gave a cheeky grin. "Nope," he said, adding a little pop at the end.

"Ugh!" She whined. "Sebby!"

He laughed, "Love you, sweetheart."

"I love you, too," she grumbled, then stuck her tongue out at him.

"It'll be worth it, sweetheart, I promise."

Jamie couldn't help but smile at him. "I know. I'm just impatient, that's all."

"Don't get too impatient, or I'll make you wait longer," he teased.

She huffed and stuck her tongue out at him once more while she continued to write on the note pad.

Sebastian laughed as he poured himself a cup of coffee. "Want anything while I'm in here?"

"Hmm, maybe a refill on my coffee?" She asked. "With a side of a kiss from the husband."

"With pleasure, wife." He walked around the small island to her, with the pot still in hand, and filled her mug back up. With his free hand, Seb lifted her chin and turned her head to face him. Leaning in, he placed a lingering kiss to her lips.

She sighed softly, enjoying the feeling of his lips on hers. "Mmm... better than coffee."

He grinned against her mouth. "Anything for you, sweetheart."

"Mmm," She pulled away slightly only to smirk up at him. "Thank you, baby."

"Can I get you anything else?"
