Monday morning brought back the reality of real life. Jamie sighed as she swiveled in her office chair and stared at her computer screen. She was supposed to be working on her next set of emails, but she found herself looking down at the photo on her lock screen. I hope your Monday is better than mine, Seb.

Sebastian and Chris woke up that morning, went for a jog in the park, and then grabbed a quick breakfast. As they sat at the table at Chris' house, they made small talk between planning their day.

"So..." Chris began, "You and Jamie seem to have hit it off pretty well."

"I guess," Sebastian answered as he looked down at his phone. "She's really sweet."

Chris nodded. "Yeah, she is. So, you gonna ask her out?" he asked rather bluntly.

A deep red blush spread across Sebastian's cheeks. He hadn't thought about asking her on an actual date yet.

"Seb, I saw that look on your face. You two were flirting pretty hard at the park yesterday too," he pointed out. "I know you like her."

"I do like her," Sebastian admitted with a smile. "It's just... We've only known her for two days. I don't want to rush anything, you know?"

Chris sighed and played with a pen that sat on the table in between them. "Dude, you don't want to move too slow either."

Sebastian rolled his eyes, knowing that was true, even though he would never admit it out loud. "Okay, okay..."

"Text her then, since you're staring at the photo you had me send to you yesterday," Chris chuckled. "If you want one on one time, you know I don't care. Hell, invite her to come and swim here or something. I can make myself scarce if I need to."

He smiled slightly, not wanting to take the bait. "Thanks, I'll keep that in mind."

Chris shrugged. "No problem, man. Just tell me when you've got the balls to actually ask her out," he teased. "You guys seemed pretty cute together."

Meanwhile, Jamie walked out of her office building and down the street to the small Starbucks on the corner for her lunch. She walked inside and got in line to order before she pulled her phone from her pocket to check it again. Still no messages. I wonder if I should text him first... would that be weird? She sighed and pocketed her phone, then quickly ordered a summer drink and a sandwich for herself, then stood off to the side so it could be made.

After Sebastian got himself cleaned up and ready for the day, he sat on the bed staring at his phone. What harm will it do? He found her name, and started a message.

Winter Boo Bear:

*Hey beautiful, I hope your Monday is going well so far.*

At hearing her phone ping, Jamie pulled it out of her pocket and smiled at the message that lit up on her screen.

Jamie girl:

*Hi! I didn't know if I was going to hear from you.*

Winter Boo Bear:

*I didn't want to come across as desperate lol*

*How is work today?*

Jamie girl:

*It's alright. I should be doing reviews on past cases, but I've been a bit distracted today. But I'm on lunch right now. Starbucks for the win.*
