The panel had just been completed, and everyone was filing out of the large room, but Jamie did as she promised and stayed in her seat. She pulled her legs up to her chest and leaned back, deciding to keep busy by playing on her phone. When she pressed the home button, the picture that greeted her, made her smile. It was her and Sebastian when he'd decided to rest his head against hers. When Jamie unlocked her phone, the group photo of all three of them greeted her, making her shake her head. Who would've thought yesterday would have turned out the way it did. Now here I am waiting for Seb because he asked me to. I hope I don't get him into trouble.
After peeking out to make sure the room was empty, Seb emerged on the stage once more. A smile immediately graced his lips as he spotted Jamie sitting, unaware, in her seat. He moved offstage, towards where she sat, and took a seat next to her. "Hey," he said softly.
Jamie looked up at hearing his voice, and hid her screen from his view. "Hi," she replied. He doesn't need to know that I'm reading Bucky fanfiction.
"How are you doing?" He asked, genuinely concerned about how she was faring after having to deal with so many people today. He watched her for a moment. The way her eyes shone when they caught sight of his.
"I'm better today, I didn't forget to take my meds when I woke up. Yesterday was so hectic and my alarm didn't wake me on time. I was in such a rush and I thought I was going to miss out on meeting you," Jamie answered. She turned to sit in her seat sideways, deciding to sit cross legged, her phone in her lap.
Sebastian nodded. His hand resting atop Jamie's as he continued to look at her. "I guess you could call it a happy accident, huh?" he chuckled. "Not only did we get to meet, but we got some one-on-one time together too."
Jamie blushed. "I won't ever forget it, that's for sure." She looked down at their hands and decidedly turned hers over to grasp his. "I'm not getting you into any trouble, am I? For being out here?"
"No. I have a break for a little bit before the next autograph signing, so we're good." He squeezed her hand reassuringly before releasing it. "So, what are your plans today?" he asked, trying to break some of the awkwardness that seemed to be hanging in the air. "Hoping to meet anyone this time around?"
"I really only planned on coming to meet you and Chris. That's the reason I got two-day tickets. Plus I like to look around at all of the merchandise and see people dressed up." Jamie got her phone and scrolled through her photos before turning it to show Sebastian. "This was the best Winter Soldier I've ever seen."
"That's awesome!" Seb exclaimed in admiration as he took in the image. "Someone put a lot of time into that one." He paused for a moment, trying to find the best way to word his next offer. "Look, uh, you're welcome to hang out back in catering today. I know Chris would be happy to see you made it again today. If you want to, that is."
"Really?" Jamie asked. "I wouldn't be in the way or anything would I?"
"Not at all! I can make sure we get you some kind of ID so that you can still see the vendors while we're doing photo ops or signings, and be able to get back there again when you need a break or anything." Seb rubbed the back of his neck, "If you want to," he repeated himself.
Jamie watched Seb and could see a faint blush on his cheeks. "That sounds... I would love to, Sebastian. It would be amazing to spend more time with you and Chris both."
"Great!" Seb stands up, and offers his hand to Jamie, "Let's go get you settled then. I think Chris is still back there right now, too."
She reached up and took his hand, letting him help her stand. Then Jamie turned and grabbed her backpack and slung it over her shoulder, letting him hold onto her hand. "Lead the way," she said happily.
