Chris got up early the next morning, taking Dodger for a run before heading to help Jamie. After letting Jamie know he was heading out, he stopped at the U-Haul store on his way, grabbing some boxes and tape so they could pack up some of her things. He got a price quote for a small truck too since he knew they'd need to move her larger furniture. Walking up to her door he knocked loudly.
"It's open!" Jamie called as she finished folding laundry in her tiny laundry room.
He stepped inside, quickly setting all the boxes against the wall just inside the door. "Just me," he hollered in reply. "I brought some boxes for us to get a start with."
Jamie grinned. "Thank you!" She called. She moved another stack of clothes off to the side, wanting to make sure everything was washed and clean before moving.
Chris closed the door and set the bag with packing tape on the kitchen counter. He went to find Jamie to see where she wanted to start. "Morning," he said, finding her as she stepped away from the machines.
"Morning." Jamie answered as she sat the final stack of clothes aside. "All of the dirty laundry is officially caught up."
"Great," he smiled. "Where did you want to start?"
"Uhh... I can pack up the bathroom if you want to start in the living room? I really can't take any big furniture with me."
"Why not?" he asked. "The stuff belongs to the complex? Or...?"
"I don't have anywhere to put it," Jamie shrugged. "I'm not going to clutter up your house."
He shook his head, smiling. "We can store it somewhere. At least until you figure out your next step. I priced a moving truck while I got the boxes, so we can get one to be able to move everything in one shot. I have some space in my garage if you want, or we can get a small storage unit for you. But we'll figure something out."
Jamie sighed and shook her head at him. "Fine... but I vote storage... if I can pay for the unit."
"Deal," he agreed. "I have boxes and tape by the kitchen, let's see what we can get done."

Half of the day flew by as Jamie and Chris packed up boxes. They had a small stack by the door to take in his car, while others would wait till the coming days. "Man... I'm worn out."
"Moving is exhausting," he agreed. "Why don't we take a break? We can turn in your notice and take care of stuff in the office, and then grab a quick lunch?"
"That sounds perfect," she agreed. "I'm starving."
They went down to the apartment office where Jamie turned in her notice to leave, and Chris got her past due paid off so that she wouldn't have to worry about them holding it over her. Once that was taken care of, they got in his car and went to find some lunch.
"What are you in the mood for?" he asked. "We could grab something and take it back to the apartment? Or we could find a place to sit and eat?"
"Hmm Chinese food? Or are you on a special diet?"
"Chinese food sounds great," he agreed. "I don't have anything but press for a while. Next filming is the next Avengers movie, but I have a couple weeks left before I have to start that."
"Then it'll be meal prep and workouts, huh? I'll have to figure out how to cook what Sebastian likes for those," she commented.
"Or at least lots of exercise," he chuckled. "But I don't have to fly out for a couple weeks still, so I can have some comfort foods for now."
"Chinese it is then," Jamie grinned.
Chris drove to a small Chinese place in town. After parking, they made their way inside and got a table.
