Artem woke her up early.

her eyes were still drooping down as he led her to his car, a hood pulled over her face. he didn't want anyone to see her just yet. not until they had all of her security details set up.

the ride wasn't very long. she was brought to what looked like a giant apartment complex. by the looks of it, it was meant for the 1%.

she felt out of place in her grubby uniform. she stepped inside and was greeted by a nice, old, doorman.

"hello Sir, madam, may i take your coats?"

"no thank you, do you know if the other two are here?" Artem asked him.

he nodded his head.

"penthouse?" Artem asked.

once again the doorman nodded his head.

would she be getting the penthouse floor? was she really that important?

the doorman nodded to her as she passed by. Y/n wiggled her fingers at him as she passed.

Artem went to the front desk, the man behind it was dressed in street clothes, different tattoos decorating his plump biceps.

"i need a second key to the penthouse floor." Artem said.

he nodded quickly and typed something into the computer. he brought out a key on a silver chain and handed it to Artem.

"are there any more spares?" Artem asked.

"three."

"give them here."

the man fished out the rest of the keys.

"if anyone besides us tries to access the penthouse floor-"

"shoot to kill?"

y/n shuddered as she saw Artem nod coldly.

"come here."

Artem beckoned Y/n over to his side.

"this is Miss L/n. treat her as if she was your mother. she is the only one allowed into the Penthouse floor."

the man extended a hand, towards Y/n. she went to shake it but Artem intercepted her. his eyes were narowed.

"actually, treat her as if she was me." Artem said cooly.

the man retracted his hand and simply bowed his head.

y/n repeated his gesture, only to have artem tug her to the elevators.

he punched in the top floor code and the doors opened immediately.

"this is how you'll access your new place." he explained.

a small panel opened up and he inserted one of the keys. he turned it, the button flashed green and he pulled the key out.

"high tech." y/n murmured.

he handed her one of the keys and she tucked it into her pocket.

"i took all the spares so you don't have to worry about someone who isn't supposed to be in the building getting in."

she nodded her head, watching the numbers for the floors rise.

"are you alright?" he asked quietly.

y/n glanced at him. there was a deep red tint to his cheeks and the tips of his ears. he avoided looking in her eyes now.

"does it really matter?" y/n asked.
