this one might be a little bit shorter than the rest, filler chapters, or chapters that are a little less actiony are gonna be less long now since i feel that they are more boring.

y/n had laid on that bed for a while.
she wasnt really able to move. she didnt know how much time had passed. she didnt really think. she didnt feel.
she just existed.
the empty feeling in her mind was familiar.
she had felt it for the years she had been with luke.
vyn didnt come back into his room. he didnt try to bother her. no one did.
she heard the doors shut and open, sometimes people would yell, sometimes shed hear laughter.
familiar. thats how she would describe this.
staring up at the white ceiling, heart barely beating, body sore, mind empty.
familiar.
day turned into night. and soon her medication wore off. she could move.
her hands twitched and flexed, her legs shifted the covers around her, her chest rose and fell a little bit faster. she blinked a few times, and finally got herself to sit up. her stomach was throbbing with pain, but it was dull. just like everything else.
the room was pitch black, the only light came from under the door.
she swung her legs over the edge of the bed and wiped her nose. her eyelids were heavy. she was tired despite sleeping most of the day.
her inner thighs were slick, sore, and slightly bruised. her hips felt no better. her neck was stiff as she turned it from side to side.
her feet touched the floor, and she stood up.
she walked to the door and paused. did she want to walk into the nightmare that waited for her outside? she could stay in this room, out of sight, and hopefully they would forget she ever existed.
no. she knew that was to good to ever happen to someone like her.
she opened the door, and squinted her eyes against the light. the smell of food didnt stir her empty stomach, she was tired.
"there she is!"
a man sized ball of energy tackled her into a hug.
"you slept so long! vyn told us how the medicine made you so tired miss." marius said.
he rubbed his hands down her back, and over her hips.
"how are you feeling?" he asked.
could she talk? this didnt feel real. was she watching this happen to someone else?
"good."
it was a reflex response. one that she knew he wanted to hear.
"well-rested i hope, come on." he said.
his hands threaded into hers and he pulled her down the stairs.
she followed behind him, and down to the dinner table. there were sandwiches on one plate, mashed potatoes in a bowl, and veggies in another.
