the next week went fairly quickly, and everyday blurred together.

she had been given a list of chores. wake up at 8, get dressed, go say goodmorning, then she would go back upstairs and get ready.

brush her teeth, wash her face, hands, pee, take her medicine, and go downstairs.

all within the first hour.

the boys had started getting up earlier than her. sometimes one of them would be gone, sometimes two. someone was always home with her. they said they were nervous about leaving their beloved alone.

when artem was home things were silent. he wouldnt speak to her unless she spoke first. he would only watch her move about, watch her do her chores, make him food, watch.

watch.

occasionally they would speak to eachother, if she was watching television he would ask her about it. if she was on her phone hed peek over her shoulder and ask her questions.

but otherwise? he would just watch.

when Vyn was home things were quiet. he spoke to her a lot more than Artem, but the conversations were one-sided. she was anxious and tense when he was around. normally her answer would consist of mumbles, 'mhm's', and 'okays' rarely did she ever start up a conversation with him.

he didnt watch her as much, but when she came into the same room to sit down, he would make her sit on his lap, or lay with him.

it was her least favorite time of the day. when he was home alone with her.

Marius though, marius was much louder. and she talked even more to him.

thats who was home today.

Marius.

"so why dont you try something different if its not working." Y/n notied quietly.

she was peering over his shoulder at a laptop that he was working on. his brow furrowed deeply as he thought through the email he was trying to send.

"what can i do different? i just want my money." marius growled.

she felt more like his equal when he was around. he would ask her advice and opinons on everything.

"hm, your not really very blunt in this. i think you need to stop mincing words and make a threat. if he doesnt have your money, youll be taking it from him." Y/n replied.

she stood up straight and wiped her hands on the dish towel. the smell of food from the kitchen wafted towards her.

her wounds barely bothered her anymore. artem would check them instead of Vyn, she wasnt sure hwy they had stopped giving her pain medication, but either way she wouldnt have taken it.

"i dont want to cause a war." marius called as she walked into the kitchen.

she gave the pots a stir, while fitting a finger underneath the heavy collar and scratching an itch.

"if a simple threat is enough to start a war then you all need to toughen up a bit. in my opinion, you want whats yours, and hes not giving it to you. thats fair game to do much worse than a little threat." Y/n explained.

marius covered his mouth with his hand and sighed.

she was right, and he knew that. something so stupid as a threat wouldnt cause them problems.

he sighed and began to type.

"what are you making anyways?" he asked.

y/n placed the lid over the pot and set down the spoon. she checked the clock on the microwave, artem and Vyn would be back soon enough.
