the ride to the theater was quick and easy. Y/n was sandwiched between Vyn and Marius, since Artem always insisted on driving.

they pulled into the parking lot, and then parked the car.

"you know we didnt ask what movie you want to see." Marius said.

artem glanced at Y/n from the drivers mirror. Vyn gently threaded his fingers into hers.

"i dont really know whats playing." she said quietly.

marius pulled out his phone, and typed in a search for the latest movies that were showing.

there were quite a few superhero movies playing, a horror movie, and a comedy.

y/n didnt care for superhero movies, and her life had turned into its own horror movie.

"this one looks nice." she said quietly.

marius clicked on the movie.

"whats it rated?" artem asked.

"hm? shes not a little kid itll be fine." marius said.

artem scoffed and turned so he could face marius.

"i dont want her watching something to innapropriate." he said.

y/n almost rolled her eyes. she wasnt 10 years old, she didnt need him to swoop in and save her from a scary penis joke.

"its M for mature." marius said.

"isnt there something else?" artem asked. he glanced uneasily at his darling girlfriend. of course he wanted her to have fun, but it worried him that something vulgar like that could poison her mind.

which was ironic, seeing as how they were some of the most dangerous criminals alive. but he just wanted to protect her already fragile mental state from being hurt any further.

"its the one she wants to watch Artem, itll be alright." vyn assured.

y/n glanced up at Vyn, and saw him wink at her. was he trying to be nice? win her favor, or did he feel sorry for how he had been treating her?

no, Vyn was a heartless son of a bitch. he didnt care about what she felt or thought. it was best for her to stop entertaining any idea that these three could actually care about her.

artem grumbled quietly, and the four got out of the car and walked into the theater. it was big, and surprisingly empty. there were workers behind the counters to take orders. they were glancing around, looking everywhere besides Y/n.

why wouldnt these people try to help her? they could see the bruises on her arms and face, the way her eyes darted around, looking for some type of way to leave this place. why wouldnt they try and help her?

she swallowed down her despair, and continued to walk alongside artem.

"should we get food or go get our seats?" Marius asked.

"im not very hungry." artem replied.

"the preveiws are very nice." Vyn noted.

marius nodded, and turned to Y/n, he brought out his wallet and glanced at the food.

"take this, and heres your ticket stub. buy whatever you want with this, and meet us at the theater. your seat is on the ticket here." he said.

he handed her his wallet, which was a little heavy for only containing credit cards and IDs.

"oh, do you guys want something then?" she asked.

"iced tea." vyn said.

"just a pop."
