the warehouse was lit by a singular LED light. there was a table in the center of the room, old chairs were centered around the table, a few guards were lingering around the room and at the center was the family heads.

"Adjudicator?"

they had fairly strong Irish accents.

vyn straightened his back and Y/n felt herself shrink behind him. they walked to the table, side by side. Y/n could feel all eyes on her.

"who is this? we said come alone." the leader said.

before vyn could answer Y/n spoke up.

"Im an assistant of the three heads, think of me as an additional partner. my name is Y/n L/n." she said firmly.

she held out a hand, looking the man straight in the eye. American families were much more serious than the others she had encountered. but knowing the signs of respect and strength would help her gain their respect.

"you can call V." V said.

he stood up, looked down at Y/ns outstretched hand and then back up at her eyes.

"why did you bring a women?" he asked bluntly.

y/n almost lost her composure, she was shocked at his question.

"what do you mean by that?" vyn asked.

"its disrespectful to not address the person you are speaking to." Y/n interrupted.

Vyn tensed up behind her, and V creased his eyebrows. he stared down at the small, feirce looking women in front of him. kind of like an angry hamster. but in a room full of armed men she had quite the commanding voice.

"apologies Miss L/n."

V reached out and took her hand. she squeezed it firmly, and shook before letting go.

"please sit."

Vyn and Y/n sat down. she let out a quiet sigh and felt a chilly hand touch her knee. she glanced up to see a slightly smiling vyn. he winked at her quickly and turned his attention back to the man in front of them.

"would you like anything to drink?" V asked.

y/n shook her head, and Vyn followed.

"alright. what am i here for then?" V asked.

"the terms of your group are not agreeable for us. we want you to lower them. the interest price is far to much we are already paying a hefty sum for very little product." Vyn said.

his voice had turned serious, his eyes void of emotion.

"i don't think you understand the terms. we are agreeing to forge and falsify weapons licenses, ship illegal weapons and transport them all the way to you. do you k-"

"yes i do know how difficult that is. for a beginner. are you saying your a beginner?" Vyn asked.

Vs eyes flashed, a frown drew up on his face.

Vyns cool touch tightened on her leg for a minute. he was telling Y/n to jump in.

"if that's not enough, we could always tell your boss. whats his name again? oh right Ryan Finnegin, about the skimming you've been doing, or the double cross you plan to make using the Relony family. there's also that little cover up, what was that about again? oh yeah! there's also the hit you ordered to start the terf war that has been driving the Finnegin family to near bankruptcy." Y/n explained.

Vs face went pale. his brain flicking on and off as he tried to process everything that Y/n had just said.

she hadn't been involved directly, but the Relony family had been an allied with her hold boss. they had shared that there was a mole that was going to make both families filthy rich. V, or Vincent Finnegan, was the one who would start everything. they planned to kill him when they were done with him.

"y-you-"

"i what? your not very good with your secrets V. and id suggest making a new off shore account for all that money your stealing. bury it good and deep so your boss doesn't somehow find out about it." Y/n said quietly.

she smirked and winked at him, glancing around at the guards. they were all frozen, pretending to be working while listening to what she was saying.

"why don't i just kill you here then??"

a sneer formed on his face, he pulled a pistol from under the table leveling it with Y/ns chest. she didn't flinch. her heart was pounding her anxiety was high. she had to move very carefully now.

"do you really think that would sit well with the three head of my own house? you really think all them don't already know about your illicit activities. one hair on my head being harmed means by by to your little secret V. and what was it that the Irish like to do to traitors?" Y/n asked.

"i-i-"

"right, they sell your body parts on the black market, and film your death for a snuff film. is all of that pain really worth not lowering the interest rate on this shipment? i mean seriously, you would allow yourself to be tortured for years just to try and get some extra money?"

V opened and closed his mouth. the gun in his hands began to wobble, y/n opened her mouth to say something else but another squeeze to her knee told her to stop.

Y/n shut her mouth and leaned back, picking up the pencil and keeping her face as neutral as possible. V stared at her for a few minutes before the muzzle of the gun dipped down, and then fell onto the table. his face was pale, his forehead held sweat on it.

"if i lower the interest no one will know about that?" He asked.

Vyn slid upwards in his seat and nodded calmly.

"we wont say a word to anyone, unless you try and weazle your way out of our deal. then of course it'll be our debt collector coming after you. maybe even me personally." VYn said.

his voice was low, his eyes held a feral hunger in them. Y/n was once again reminded why she wouldn't mess with him.

"f-fine. fine what should it be?"

y/n began to write down the terms that they agreed on, it took three pages and at the end, VYn then V signed it as if it was a contract. Y/n shuffled the papers and put the pen back into her purse.

"is that all then?" VYn asked.

Y/n stood up, not really listening to the conversation.

her head shot up when she heard a loud scraping. VYn was leaning across the table, holding Vs collar in his hand and he flipped a butterfly knife from out of his pocket. the tip of the blade scratched the edge of Vs neck.

five guns clicked around them all trained on Vyn and Y/n. but Vyn was calm. deadly calm.

blood welled from the scratch on Vs neck. Vyn smiled pleasantly.

"if you ever so much as breath improperly towards Y/n again, i promise you i will do much worse than what your family could ever do." Vyn growled.

he released V and flipped the knife closed. it disappeared into his pocket. and he smiled cheerfully, as if nothing had even happened.

"ill get these details finalized, and i will fax a copy to your boss. i expect the shipment to arrive early, just for your little temper tantrum. so please, don't disappoint."
