Darling In The Franxx: Omega

Some notes while I still work on the next chapter

Just some food for thought I guess, and some clarification of some details that may just seem random or useless.

For one, the fact that Kira and Lynn share the same codes as Hiro and Ichigo.

Now as mentioned, Kira and Lynn were from an earlier batch of parasites from five years in the past. That has been stated. Implicitly, and not mentioned by the story, the codes of those parasites go from 011 to 899.

The reason why Hiro and Ichigo were given their codes despite there still being existing parasites of those same codes is because of the code changes. Kira would actually be known as Code-9999 and Lynn as Code-222.

However, their official designations were changed once again when they became Nines, thus they are known as Omega and Psi.

Another thing to talk about is how different the story of DITF is compared to the Omega side of it.

DITF involved squad 13 living their lives and fighting Klaxosaurs.

In the Omega line, we see the parasites of the Sanctuary not needing to worry about the Klaxosaurs. In the Omega line I have created, it's a little bit more slice of life. I intended to show a bit more of how the lives the parasites in the Sanctuary live, but it would be nothing more than them working day after day, and trying to survive.

It's not much different from a normal modern society, people wake up, work, and have their routines.

This is the society that Kira has developed to bring humanity back to its former state.

Due to I thought the story would turn out to be a bit repetitive, I had to throw in some random things.

Like the fight between Kira and Lynn in chapter 5, the pool day chapter, and a whole bunch of random things to diversify what happens in the Sanctuary.

But still, it wouldn't be enough if there wasn't some action.

That's where the Clone Arc came in.

The fight against Akira and Rin was a little something to add to the Omega side of the story.

But it also reveals a bit of Kira and Lynn's past.

Just as I intended it to.

For the most part, chapters 1-10 are all part of the Omega line.

After that, that is where the story connects to the original DITF story and changes it.

Everything within the DITF original story happens exactly the same way, except for the changes so far in the Battle of the Gran Crevasse, and the Second Battle of the Gran Crevasse.

Kira's interaction with Zero Two in chapter 15, and the fact that he was a member of a past Squad 13 doesn't affect the story.

Now for an update on the next chapter. It sure has been delayed for quite a bit. I've been stuck up on school so I've been lazy to find time.

I also don't try to write this chapter on my train ride to the campus. That is because I have to watch the episode that this chapter is connected to. Starting now is when it will just stick with the events of the anime, but with Kira's interaction.

We are almost done anyway. Including this next chapter, we have three chapters left.
