Darkness crept out from where Seth stood, gazing at the lifeless body being held against a tree. Parang lantang gulay ito sa kamay ng demonyong may ngiting tagumpay, lalo na noong makitang natuod sa isang tabi si Seth.

Binitawan niya ang dalaga at humarap sa lalaki. Alex fell to the ground, unmoving. It seemed like she had already drawn her last breath.

What Soren did not expect was the outburst that he had triggered.

The darkness spread like wildfire, turning the bright yellow forest into ashes. The leaves became nothing and the trees had become charcoaled. Aside from the sight, there was this tremendous power that was emanating from Seth's body.

In a second he was meters away, in a blink of an eye Seth was already standing in front of the killer.

In a moment, he had turned to dust.

After he watched Soren turn to ashes, he saw the girl lying on the evergreen grass. It was the only patch left along the one-kilometer diameter.

He was trembling when he walked towards her body that now lacked color and warmth.

"Alex?" He whisphered as he sat on the grass and holding her cold cheeks, he was close to crying. But all the impending tears marched back when he saw her opening one eye in a funny way.

"Is he gone?"

"You scared me!" She really did scare him. He really thought that she was dead and that it was too late for him to save her and lost hope.

Although this wasn't real, he still does not want to see her dying.

His heart could not take it.

Alex sat up, facing Seth who kneeled in front of her. She was still feeling weak as she had used what little energy remained in her to stop her breathing.

"That was the point. Emotions could either weaken or strengthen you. Taking advantage of what I know, I assumed that you would avenge me. Having to know of your destructive capability, I knew everyone would be done fighting with this outburst." She explained before smiling at him. It wasn't teasing or congratulating.

It was a grin.

"You used me?" Kunot noong tanong ng lalaki. He was starting to get frustrated. He was used!

"Yes." She answered after hearing the question.

How could she admit to that as if it weren't a bad thing to do?

He was trembling, his heart was fast paced, his mind was in a mess.

The feeling of being used? If this is it, then I don't like it.

"You're the worst."

The atmosphere had become awkward after they regrouped. Seth was more silent than usual, it even seem like he hated Alex because he would ignore her when she speaks.

As for Alex, she was back to usual. Smiling, grinning, and acting like nothing has happened.

They did not encounter anyone after the battle with Soren, Sion and Cors.

They moved far away from the place. And those who saw the forest had chills as they passed through the ashes of the forest.

Who did this?

Everything is burnt to crisp!

The birds that were surveiling the fight were also burned kaya hindi alam ng mga manonood ung ano ang nangyari sa dalawa.
