I came to school early with all of my clothes already prepared. I reunited with the others and acted like nothing happened.

There was an obvious distance between Clyde and me, but only him. Seth was also avoiding me for a reason that I don't know.

But maybe this is better.

We came from the Headmaster's office for another meeting before we depart and it feels like I still have a hangover because of the severe irritation I am feeling.

While I'm trying to save time and fasten up my pace, Raven comes slowing me down to zero progress.

"The lady seems to be annoyed, why is that?" Inigo teased noong makalabas kami. Inirapan ko siya at saka ibinalandra ang pagmumukha kong maganda.

It recently caused a commotion in the market, and the palace. Ilang pagkakataon pa masasabi kong ako na ang sumabuhay kay Rapunzel. Ang haba ng hair. I heard about the crowned prince deciding to marry me. Hah! You wish!

But my beauty isn't something that can compensate for the irritation that I am feeling.

"It's just a game, Alex. Just to show how we can be civil with the other kingdoms. And besides, it's a game that every academy have to go to, it would be a nice experience." I gritted my teeth as I remembered the game George was spitting.

"Don't be so upset about it, just think how you were chosen among many of the ladies in the school. That only means you're the best among the rest."

"Or that I'm not worth anything but a sacrificial lamb." Sagot ko't muling umirap.

Let's say they still believe in fairy tales where a knight in his shining armor or a prince that charms everyone would save the damsel in distress.

Okay lang naman sa akin ito dahil may action at kailangan mong makipaglaban sa iba para makuha ang dalaga, ang kaso...

Ang nakakainis pa ay isinabay ito sa paghahanap ko sa libro. I came to the palace just to be directed back to this city, this school.

Well, it's not like he can find the book himself. Actually he can, but he can't summon it dahil tanging Enchantresses lang ang may kakayahang gawin 'yon.

"But isn't a month of preparation too short?" Stanley asked at sumakay na ito sa karwahe. The coachman placed my baggages in a compartment.

"Building a team isn't that easy." Rod seconded his complaint.

There were two carriages and I was on the second with Rod, Inigo, Stanley, and Kyle.

They were all so noisy I didn't need my usual banters to add more.

And right now, I'm busy thinking.

We are going to our training ground where the ten of us will stay for a month before we depart for Kiraya. In that cabin in the middle of the forest, there's just ten of us and the mentor who's still not introduced to us.

There will be no full-time worker to stay with us. We cook our own food, do our dishes and all. Our laundry will be fetched every three days, and there's no healer to heal our wounds in training. Once a week lang ito darating.

So we are isolated. Me, and ten other males. Is this even safe?

The answer is right before me.

This is far from safe.
