It was like any morning.

I woke up, went out for a jog and grabbed breakfast. Took a bath and spent the next hours lying in my bed, leaving my classes unattended.

Hindi ko naman kailangan ang diploma dito.

I might not even need it back in Earth. I can live as a translator while I travel the world. It sounds like a nice plan.

But I still need a degree.

Tsaka lang ako lumabas noong lunch na. Nakatulog kasi ako kanina habang nakatunganga.

Pagdating sa hall ay maingay na ang lahat. Nagtungo lang ako sa usual spot ko at tahimik na kumain habang nagmamasid sa paligid.

The boys are on their own, the students are noisy as usual, the teachers have their own world and a few are absent, including the headmaster.

Lunch was over so I made my way to the field where our faction meeting is to be held again.

Pinaalalahanan kami ni Seth kahapon na we are about to showcase our powers today. Just to show where we have gone in improving ourselves.

And what exactly should I show?

First of all, as a witch, I must not show two elements. I'm in mixed so it must not be one of the elements. Mixed people have hybrid powers while a few have absolutely different powers like telekinesis, telepathy, and almost everything connected with the mind. And these are rare and aren't genetic. It's more like a gift.

Unti unti ring nagsidatingan ang mga kasamahan ko na may kani-kaniyang kausap. Samantalang ako ay nakapangalumbaba at nakatingin lang sa hangin.

How can we start to communicate gayong hindi ko alam kung buhay ba siya o hindi. Hindi ko kasi sigurado kung nandoon talaga siya sa katawan ko.

Ang sabi kasi sa libro ay pwede ring umalis ang kaluluwa sa katawan at gumala. Parang multo lang.

The time came and so did the leader who was dashing as always. Hindi ko nga sigurado kung sadyang dito ay may mga malalandi pa rin o talagang sanay ako sa modesty ng mga makalumang tao.

Either is probable.

"So today is the day you let us see your improvements. I will be calling you one by one and you shall perform on this spot. This will be in alphabetical order, ladies and the gents together." Seth announced like a lad so bored of his life. He was so strict looking that they automatically replied with a yes. He sat in front and called a boy's name.

I guess I'll be out here early. I'm Alexandra, and still assumed the surname Aragon.

The boy showed off his telekinetic power while the next girl showed off with her cool power. By cool I mean really cool because it was icy around her. The third performer, another girl, was a hybrid of fire and land. Lava.

They all applauded her because of the "spectacular" performance she just did. The girl bowed like a shy girl before walking back to her place, just beside Seth who called another name.

"Aragon, Alexandra."

Napataas tuloy ako ng kilay noong tumingin silang lahat sa akin.

"Can't I pass?" I asked before hearing a few giggles and snickers.

"You should at least try." Lava girl said with her demure tone. I hate princesses.

I prefer queens.
