"Looks like they split up... here" Sam announced
"I'll stay with Sam" Jess told Bucky and the 4 split up. Sam and Jess ran straight ahead and followed the path around. She walked slowly behind Sam as they kept turning corners. They seemed a little lost until 2 sounds of gunfire echoed. Jess ducked down a little with Sam but she soon clutched her abdomine
"Jessie?" Sam asked
"Sharon... she's been shot" Jess said
"Go" Jess nodded and Sam ran off ahead. She could hear the fighting in the distance and made herself get up and stumble towards where Sam was. She made it and soon heard the gunshots, pain shooting through her even more as she felt Karli slowly dying
"Will you guys ever learn to not shoot people" Jess hissed but forced herself over to Sharon and gave her a little of her energy. Jessie felt her nose bleeding
"Jess, can you?" Sam asked but Jessie gasped more and more as she felt Karli die
"No" Jessie shook her head as she then saw Sam leaving. Sharon took a while before encouraging Jessie to walk with her out and upto the surface. They soon met up with Bucky and John on the way, Jess almost stumbling into her brother
"You're okay" He said as he used his metal hand to clean away the blood from her nose. They walked upto where Sam was, leaning against the ambulance and listening into everything Sam was saying.
"Sorry, I was uh, texting so all I heard was black guy in stars and stripes" Bucky joked, making Jessie laugh as she followed the two
"Nice job Cap" Bucky said
"Thanks" Sam smiled
"Sharon?" Sam said as he saw her stood there with the cloth
"You're blocking my light" She said
"We gotta get you to a hospital" Sam stated
"She's not gonna listen and Jess tried healing her" Bucky said
"It's not the worst thing thats happened to me all week" Sharon stated
"Told you" Bucky said as he looked at Jessie
"Uh, Cap" A man said, Jessie moved so they couldn't see Sharon
"Think he's talking to you" Sharon told him
"Look I'm sorry for how things ended down there, for what its worth... suit looks good on you" Sharon told him
"Alright look, can we get out of here please?" Bucky asked Sharon and the two Barnes kept up a small wall so no one really saw Sharon
"So, which hospital are we going to?" Jess asked Sharon
"None. I'm going somewhere else while you two can go home. Those kids probably miss you, Jess" Sharon said
A few days later
Jessie decided to go watch the sea for a while before Bucky arrived. She smiled as she felt the fresh breeze come through the air and the pure happiness in her life
"Jess?" Sam spoke, coming next to her
"Are Lucia and George okay?" Jessie asked
"Yeah, they are with my nephews... what you doing out here?" Sam asked
"Finally relaxing" Jessie laughed a little as she faded the white glow in a small vein of hers. She looked down and wrapped her arms around her lower abdomen
"What you two doing?" Bucky asked as he walked over
"You seem happy and finally arrived" Jessie smiled at Bucky
"Enjoying this, that's all... what's going on with you?" Bucky asked, Jessie gave Sam a small side look and he laughed
"Don't look at me, I kept it long enough" Sam said, patting Buckys shoulder before he walked off
"Kept what? Jessie?" Bucky asked, she took in a small sharp breath as she moved her hands to her back, pulling her shirt tightly to see the bump
"I am sorry I didn't say anything sooner" Jessie said as he looked thrown off course before Lucia and George came over slowly
"Jeez Jess... wh...How far along are you?" Bucky asked
"4 months mark ish, about 16-18 weeks... This was my last mission until this baby is 1 and I just... I wanted it to be easy but I couldn't bring myself to tell you because you would've kicked me off" Jessie explained after she let go
"Jess, come on. I love you to pieces but... you could've got injured" Bucky said as he pulled her in for a hug
"I made sure the baby was to survive even if I died... a simple part of my powers, it was why I was so exhausted after the battle when we were with Zemo and after everything else as well" Jessie explained
"You're an idiot for keeping it from me but I am happy for you, Jess. I am so happy for you" Bucky laughed before Lucia and George joined the hug
"Hows my favourite little niece and nephew?" Bucky asked them as Jessie pulled away
"Uncle Bucky, did momma tell you what she is having?" Lucia asked him
"A baby?" Bucky answered
"Silly, I know that... momma is giving me and George a baby brother!" Lucia squealed
"Turns out, I don't need anyone to tell me the sex thanks to a certain powered daughter" Jessie laughed
"Another nephew?" Bucky asked and Jessie nodded
"It is a boy!" Sam shouted from the table and Jessie laughed as she nodded with a huge smile
"Wow Jess... I can't wait to actually be here and meet this one from whenever" Bucky smiled
"I know, I am happy that this time I get my amazing big brother with me through it" Jessie smiled as she hugged him tightly. They pulled away after a moment and soon walked back to the rest of Sam's family
"Congrats Jessie!" Sarah smiled
"Thank you, me and Rhodey will bring him down here after a few weeks" Jessie laughed happily as she hugged Sarah
"There is no rush"
"Don't be silly, you all are like a huge family to me and Bucky. Also Rhodey is eager to meet you and the others, shame he couldn't make it" Jessie said as she helped grab a few things with Sarah and move it to the table
"Jessie, you really don't need to help out" Sarah protested a little
"I really do, can't let the host do all the work" Jessie laughed as she looked over at her brother, messing around with Lucia and another girl while George was playing with Sam's nephews
"This is the best thing that has happened in years" Jessie smiled as she helped carry a basket to the sides
"Your brother seems to enjoy the company"
"He does, he really has found his calm he wanted" Jessie smiled, tucking the loose stands of hair behind her ear before George ran around her
"Mom! Look" George laughed as he then pretended to play fight with the boys
"Good one George, just don't get too close and accidentally hit them" Jessie said
"I won't, you do that to Uncle Bucky a lot"
"Difference is, he is my brother and it isn't an accident" Jessie laughed as she got a nod of agreement from Bucky as he half listened in
