Jessie walked down stairs in her baggy white shirt and sports leggings, seeing Sarah in the kitchen
"How did you sleep?"
"It was okay, little orange sized thing kept pushing my damn bladder" Jessie grumbled a little
"I remember going through that with my kids. Have you told your brother yet? Sam said you could've died when you tried to heal the people" Sarah stated as she handed Jessie a glass of water
"I haven't but if we are being honest... since it all went down back at the compound with the fight, my powers don't work the same way... they have struggled to survive because I did and each time I use it... all I can feel is that lost and death feeling... it's just... I miss normal, you know?" Jessie sighed
"I get it. Sam explains a lot about that life style but it is just a mess to me, you'll make it perfectly fine" Sarah said
"Besides having super children... Lucia has powers and I don't know if this one will or not yet" Jessie laughed
"But I suppose your two have a lot to look up to with having their uncle as the new Captain America if he wants that title" Jessie added
"They look upto him a lot already with the entire Falcon situation, let alone if he took that tile" Sarah laughed
"Just for his next birthday for a joke we need to make it Captain America themed" Jessie laughed
"Oh I can arrange that one" Sarah laughed before Sam walked in
"What are you two laughing about?" He asked
"A bit of everything" Jessie nodded as she turned to face him
"Jess, that's kinda an obvious shirt" Sam stated and Jessie sighed before she held her hands around it and the bump almost shrank a little
"What did you do?"
"Oh nothing, I can alter how people see me... I recently discovered that but I have a feeling that's not my powers and it's the babies" Jessie stated before she realised
"George does have abilities! My electrical side is his"
"Are you sure?" Sam asked her
"Nope but it's a good guess" Jessie shrugged
"Hmm, anyway my flight is this morning but Bucky is later so I'll see you when we get a lead" Jessie said as she looked at the time.
A fair few hours later
Jessie landed in New York, she made her way to the hotel she planned to get
"Here you go, Mrs Rhodes, I hope you enjoy your stay"
"Thank you" Jessie smiled as she took the key card and made her way upto her room. She slowly unpacked a few things and she looked at the time
"Why does everyday go so damn slow" She grumbled as she realised it had been just under an hour since she checked in
"Hey stranger" She heard Nats voice say
"Not the time, Nat... I really can't deal with ghosts talking to me and making me seem crazy" Jessie stated
"You're not crazy, you're just powered" Nat laughed a little
"See you and Tony die, the avengers are or aren't a thing anymore and everyone and everything on this planet, our planet has gone to shit since we failed first time around" Jessie said as she sat down on the end of the bed, playing the news
"And you're doing a wonderful job cleaning up"
"Love the sarcasm, even dead you still know how to torment me" Jessie smiled a little
"If I had known it was a possibility... you realise I would've taken your place in a heart beat" Jessie told her
"I wouldn't have let you... I know its hard for you, Jess, but.... I died so everyone else could live. I put that on myself to save my family" Nat told her and Jess nodded
"Lucia misses you... I went home and she was showing me a drawing she made of you and her... I let it on the pin board in the kitchen so when you're spirit-stalking next you can have a look" Jessie stated
"Love you too" Nat laughed
"So, Sam is now our Cap" Jessie added
"So I saw... tell me all about it" Nat said as she stood in front of Jessie, seeing her smile before she started talking
A few days later
Bucky and Jessie met up, Jess had her suit ready and waiting in New York City
"We sure about this?" Jess asked him
"Sam said she is here, I trust him" Buck nodded
"So do I... lets just hopefully get this done" Jessie stated as she looked around
☆Sorry its short but I kinda have an announcement to make
After a very long thought process I have come to the conclusion and decision to have Jessie's story end with the final episode of the Falcon and WinterSolider. I know it is a sudden thing but it really seems fitting in its own way otherwise this will never end and it has to eventually. It is just a pre-warning so you all have a notice before I make the ending within the next few parts ~ A xx ☆
