Marshall's POV :

Oh shit did I have a crazy morning , first off haillie and i had a argument cause she wanted to throw a party after the school dance and then had My mom on my ass the whole ride to work about money and shit ..

"Yo Em what ya thinking about " swifty said taking a seat beside me at the mixing desk.
"Yo man what's up ? Oh nothing man just My mom driving me crazy about money and shit "I sighed looking at him.
"She is crazy man , you really need to get on that shit and bring her to court so you don't have to pay her anymore " he said .
"Oh I know it's just the hassle I can't be dealing with it "I laughed.
"Speaking of court , I heard we got a new legal head and she suppose to be damn fine " he smirked .
" oh yeah her name is Emma, I met her this morning in the meeting seems like a nice girl abit young for her job but Paul says she is one the best and highly recommended " I say as I move over to change the track playing in the background.
" well I might just have to get myself in Trouble so I can see her and maybe get my nuts up in her guts" he laughed.
"Yo man that ain't never gonna work , you try the same shit with every women that works here and they all turned your ass down " I laugh as I clutch my stomach .
"This one could be different I also she heard she's Irish and apparently they are always up for a bit of fun" he winked .
"Ha whatever man , at least let the girl get settled in first , but dawg I'm starving let's go get some food " I say as I stand and make my way out of the studio.

We walk down to lunch area and look at the menu ( yes I said menu it's shady records we have a restaurant as a cafeteria ). I scan the room and I see Emma sitting at a table alone waiting for her food , so I take it upon myself to go keep her company.

"Yo Emma , you eating by yourself " I ask as I stand by the table where she is seated .
" hi mr Mathers oh yeah I don't know many people yet so the Lunch dates are zero right now" she laughed .
" if you don't mind, me and swi-" I look around to see swifty has gone .
"Sorry just me ha ,can I join"I asked.
"Yeah sure better then sitting alone " she smiled .
Just as I was about to ask her some questions the waiter John came with her food.
"Here you go miss , is there anything else?" He said putting the plate of pasta down.
"No I'm good thanks , but what about you " she said looking to me.
"Oh sorry mr Mathers I didn't see you there, can I get you your usual? He asked.
"Yea thanks John" I smiled
"No problem sir, il be back in 5" he smiled and made his way to the kitchen.
" go ahead and eat before it gets cold " I say to Emma as I noticed she hasn't touched her food.
"You sure? I don't mind waiting " she asked smiling .
"No you eat "I smiled back at her.

After a few minutes John came with food and myself and Emma sat there in silence as we ate . I finally finish and look at my watch I still have a few more minutes before I have to head back .

" so Emma what made you leave Ireland for Detroit" I ask breaking the silence.
" I got offered this job and I needed a change of scenery " she said looking down at her empty plate.
"Was it hard not leaving all behind " I asked.
"Oh yes it definitely was, but my family and friends were so supportive of the move that made it a bit easier . I had no reason not to take this job there was nothing for me there so yeah .." she said half smiling .
" did you move by yourself or did your partner move with you?" I asked a little embarrassed by the question.
" no by myself I'm not involved with anyone, that was over awhile before I left " she said looking at her watch .
" ok well I'm sure you will make some friends and that here " I smiled.
" yeah hopefully, I'm sorry mr Mathers but I have to be getting back to my office I have a meeting with some Jim Hyland guy "she said looking confused.
" not at all, have to get back to the studio too oh by the way Jim is the head accountant here nice man you will get on well with him " I say standing .
" great to know thanks, thank you for sitting with me nice to have company while at lunch " she smiled .
" no problem at all , look il cya Friday about those forms take care " I say as I start to walk away .
" oh yeah Friday cya then " she smiled walking in the opposite direction.

I wondered to myself as to where she was going as she went in the direction of the kitchen maybe she forget her way I chuckled to myself.
I made a few calls as I headed back to the studio when I got there I sat down waiting for 50 cent to come .

"Yo Em ,my man what's happening "50 pulled me into a hug .
"Hey dude, just chilling waiting for your slow ass " I laughed.
"Sorry I had to check on my girl Leah before coming to you see you " he smirked .
"How's things going with you ? She is definitely keeping your feet on the ground that's for sure " I said grabbing my notepad full of lyrics .
"It's good like real good man , she is just so chill and down to earth doesn't ask me to buy her shit or pressure me into anything . So different from all those other girls ,I might want to settle down with this one " he smiled .
"I'm happy for you dude , she's a nice girl everyone likes her . Sorry to have to change the subject but I gotta be out of here in an hour I'm going to look at a house with Kim and Robert " I say looking at my phone .
"You don't find that weird going house hunting for your ex wife and her husband?" He asked with his eyebrows raised .
"No not really like me and Kim are good have been for a long time , and Robert I actually like that man we get on well and the girls love him , best thing to ever happen to Kim and I'm happy for them both " I smile .
"You to have grown man I'm happy it's peaceful with you all , but let's kick this shit " he said getting up and going into the recording booth .

We got the song done in just 3 takes , it's definitely going to be a hit that's for sure . It was time to get going so I grabbed all my shit and headed out, down to the parking garage .
I hoped into my car and took off, I may call Kim and tell her I'm on the way .
"Siri call Kim " I said as I pulled off and heading down the street .
