Emma's POV ..

" DJ please stop running around so I can get you ready for bed " I sigh sitting on the sofa in defeat of my six year old .
" But mommy I'm the flash and the flash is very fast " He laughed running circles around the coffee table .
" I know honey your even faster then the flash, but I think you need some sleep so you can charge up and be faster tomorrow " I smiled .
" Ok but you have to turn off my night light so it doesn't take all the charge mommy cause I need it " He smiled taking a seat next to me .
" Yes of course little man no night light tonight and -" I explained until there was a knock on the door .
" just wait here I'm going to see who's at the door il be right back " I said to DJ while getting up and opening the door .
" Hey Emma " Marshall smiled .
" Marshall your here already ?" I asked .
" yea you said 8 didn't you? It's 20 minutes after 8 I'm running late some stuff needed to be taken care off " he said looking at his watch .
" Oh god I didn't realise the time , come in . DJ's not in bed yet he decided to be the flash tonight and hasn't stopped " I sighed .
" oh don't sweat it I don't mind seeing the little guy " he laughed making his way into the living area .
" Mr Marshall " DJ shouted running to Marshall and giving him a hug .
" Hey buddy , how come your up so late ?" Marshall asked .
" I'm the flash and I was showing mommy how fast I can be , but she said I have to go to bed now cause I need to charge " he sighed .
" Well I think your mommy is right, how about  you go to bed and then at the weekend you can come over to my house and show Whitney how fast you are ?" Marshall suggested.
" That sounds fun can I mommy ?" He asked me .
" Yes but only if you go to bed now okay so say goodnight to Marshall and let's go " I smiled standing waiting at the stairs .
" Goodnight Mr Marshall see you at the weekend " he hugged Marshall and came running to me .
" Night buddy sweet dreams " Marshall said .
" Make yourself at home get a drink or whatever I won't be long " I smiled and made my way upstairs with DJ in my arms .

Marshall's POV ....

I sat on the sofa waiting for Emma to come back , can't help but think to myself am I doing the right thing about ending it with her .  I was lost in my thoughts when she came and took a seat beside me .

" Earth to Marshall" she laughed waving her hand infront of my face .
" yo sorry I spaced out for a minute " I laughed.
" No worries, so what's up ?" She asks .
"To be honest a lot of shit has been going on and I'm finding it hard to deal with it " I sighed .
" Care to share ? You know I'm here if you need me " She smiled .

" I'm just not myself right now with everything that happened nearly relapsing and shit I just need to get myself back on track , I'm going to go to a meeting tomorrow morning I told Paul what was going on and he thinks it would be the best Yano " I say .
" Well I agree with Paul on that , and of course if it helps you , your doing the right thing Marshall . " she said grabbing my hand and squeezing it .
"Thanks , but another reason I wanted to talk you is cause I just think I need to put an hold on whatever me and you are . I'm not ready to be in a relationship and I don't wanna be stringing you on when deserve so much more and someone that can give you that commitment. Right now at this time I don't think I can even handle having sex I just need time on my own and get back together " I sigh .
" Marshall you don't have to explain yourself it's not like we're dating. We're just two friends who were having causal sex , so if you need to put a stop to it to get yourself together I totally understand. but I want you to know I'm still a friend and if you need anything or just want someone to talk to I'm here and anyways I don't think DJ would be very happy if we weren't friends " she laughed softly .
" Yo you serious right now ? Like your not going to flip out or anything ?" I asked in shock .
" No why would I?" She laughed .
" Cause every other chick would lost their shit " I say .
" I told you before and il tell you again I ain't like the rest of those girls Marshall " she smiled .
" That's for sure . But look I'm still down for being friends and awkwardness can't have that at the office " I laugh.
" Of course I wouldn't have it any other way . Now unless your here for one more hook up you can leave cause I need to shower " she laughed nudging me in the side .
" You suggesting shower sex? As much as I would love I think I better get going " I smile .
" Well then mr Mather's let me walk you out " she says getting up and walking to the door .
" Yo thanks for being so understanding and all I appreciate it " I say getting up and following her .
" There's no need to thank me , you need to do what's best for you and I'm 100% behind you " she said .
" Okay cool, well anyways i guess I'll see you tomorrow and don't be afraid to think of my while you shower " I wink at her .
" Always do Mr Mather's " she laughs and pushes me out the door and closing it .
