Started with a bet

A/N - possible sequel

Iv been going over and over in my head wether to do a sequel to this book or not . So I drafted up a teaser chapter .

The book would be 10 years after the last chapter .
It will involve Emma and Marshall getting married , having another child , and a incident that leads them to live separately for awhile .

10 years Later ....

I sigh as I take a seat at the kitchen table across from Marshall .

" So you wanted to talk?" I ask .

" Yeah , I mean I think we need to sort some arrangement out with Shaun and Lilly , DJ is old enough to make his decisions about when and where he wants to stay. So have you any suggestions ? " he asks .

" We can just alternate days , and we're only ten minutes away from each other so if they want to change their mind it's not a problem " I say.

" You know we wouldn't be having this conversation if you just came back home. I get you need time but this is stupid Em , I miss you , the kids miss us all being together . Can we just go back to how it was before all this shit blew up " He sighs .

" It wouldn't be like this if you just trusted me and didn't believe what you heard Marshall and you know it . We have known each other for twelve years been married nine of them and share 3 kids together , but as soon as you see a picture and hear rumours you lose your shit with me not only at work but you did it again at home in front of the girls and DJ we were lucky Shaun and Lilly were to young to understand. I love you and I always will but I need time to figure out what changed for you not to trust me . I didn't do anything wrong , I would never cheat on you ." I cry .

" I know baby and I'm sorry I don't know how many times I have to tell you . I wish I could go back and talk to you properly about it but I can't . Take all the time you need okay, I just miss you I know it's only been two weeks but it's killing me " He says getting up to leave .

" Can you take the kids tonight and il take them tomorrow ?" I ask .

" Sure " He shrugs .

And then he leaves .
