15: Start of the Chaos pt.1

Before I can complete I was turned around agrresively and I felt a pair of lips on mine.

Sapphire's POV
              
Cool lips pressed upon mine and just like that removed suddenly. I stared at Arthur shocked. What was that?
''What was that? Why you did this Arthur?'' I asked feeling confused and disgusted. I can't believe that my first kiss was wasted like this. I have never given any thoughts as to how I wanted my first kiss to be like, but this definitely wasn't on my agenda.

"I am sorry Saph I shouldn't have done that'' he said simply without meeting my eyes. When I didn't said anything he looked up at me. The thing that surprised me the most wasn't his guilty posture nor his flushed cheeks but his eyes. His eyes had a strange glow. It was something that made me look at Arthur differently.

I felt wary and unsafe in his presence. It felt as if I am in the presence of a predator. The tension was rising between us. It was a tension between a predator and prey where I was the weak prey. Suddenly his stance changed the usually humble and meek boy was standing straight with a wicked smirk on his face.

He leaned  forward and dangerously close to my face, resting his hand on the shelf beind me. I backed away to keep much distance between us. I could feel my body trembling but I did my best to not show it.
''Don't need to act so coy, I like you so I did it'' Arthur said shamelessly. This wasn't the Arthur I knew. Was this sweet and shy boy always a snake beneath his facade.

Without any prior warning I slapped his face hard. His head turned sideways and before he could react I pushed him away and went out fixing my shirt which was creased. I was still trembling from inside but didn't dared to show it on my face. I don't know why but I didn't want anyone to know what happened back there. I silently made my way out of the ballroom. No one noticed,not even a single soul. This is what I like.

Invisble Sapphire.

Reaching my room I tried to close the door but before I could a foot stopped the door from being closed. Looking up I saw someone standing but couldn't see clearly because of my teary eyes. Before I could even utter word they came inside and closing the doors hugged me tightly.

''What happened Saph?'' Zoe asked making me sit on the bed. I tried to drink the tears before I can speak.
''Wait drink water before'' she said pouring me some. I gulped it at once.

''Arthur...Arthur he tried to kiss me'' I don't know why I lied but it just slipped out of my tongue and I didn't bother to correct myself.

''That bastard!! How dare he??''  Zoe shouted her eyes wide as she fisted my bedsheet.

''He said he likes me and was acting very wierd. He was acting very cocky, not his usual shy self '' I said wiping my cheeks with my sleeves.

''What about Zion? I remeber sending him towards you!!''

''He never came. While heading outside I saw him helping Delilah with the decoration'' I said bitterly. That broke me more. I felt so betrayed even though I know I should hear his side too still it made me feel jealous. That pathetic feeling.

Just like me. Pathetic Sapphire.

''Damn them!! I will kill them both'' Zoe said as she got up aggresively but before she can even take a step I pulled her back on the bed.

''No!! don't do it please I request you'' I said as the waterwork started again.

"Why the hell not"'  Zoe said frustrated.
