8: I Am Glowing?

Sapphire's POV
Next morning I woke up with a  headache. I couldn't sleep last night because of the nightmares. Those red eyes still haunts me. Massaging my head I walked to the bathroom and cringed at my reflection.
My hair tangled up and dark circles making me look like a panda. And I can see some acnes coming out. My eyes were swollen.
Usually when we use our powers our eyes tend to change it's colour.

Like when I use my power my eye colour changes to blue, Zion's changes to gold, Zoe's green and Charlotte's silver as she has the power of snow. It's somewhat similar to mine but both the elements have unique qualities. I can make ice only when water is present but she can make it without the presene of water.

Sighing I took some advil for my headache.  How I hate my life right now. I got dressed for the 'school' and went down for the breakfast. I didn't brought my phone with me because of those photos of the book. I don't anyone to see them even be mistake. Hope no one calls me today not that I get so many calls.
As soon as I entered the dining hall I was engulfed in a bear hug.

"Oh Sapphie dear how are you ?" There is only one person who calls me Sapphie, more like destroys my name.
"Aunt Barbara I am fine." I said in a muffled voice.
At last she let me out of her hug. Oh God her hugs are seriously bone crushing.

"You have grown so much since I last saw you" she kept on gushing.

"But you saw me last week only." I pointed out. 
"That is too much time for me to stay away from my loved ones" she said with a smile.

Aunt Barbara is very nice and jolly.  She is King Quintus' elder sister. She is very polite and friendly unlike her daughter. I can't help but think that Arthur got his sweet personality from his mother.

Aunt Barbara went to visit her in-laws last week. It seems she came back today.  She is very kind even after her husband's death.  She still cares for her in-laws. Her husband Derek was a human. It isvery rare for an elemental to marry a human but it's not impossible.

I greeted the king and queen and sat between Auntie Barbara and Queen Yolanda. I didn't had any appetite but I don't want to look suspicious so I took a simple toast with jam.
"Are you going to eat only that." Queen Yolanda whispered to me.

"I don't feel like eating anything heavy" I confessed.

"Hmm...So I heard you had a situation with Charlotte yesterday."
"Oh no! Not you too." I groaned. But I quickly realised I was speaking to the queen. Can I be any more stupid.
"Sorry ma'am I disrespected you" I apologized sincerely.

"Oh dear you should don't be formal with me when only we two are talking or rather whispering, you can call me Yolanda. You are our family after all" She said.

"Okay ma'am I mean Yolanda" I said with a small smile.

"So about your argument with Charlotte... "
"Oh it was nothing Just a disagreement" I said regretting fighting Charlotte.

"No you should not regret your action" Yolanda said.  Seeing my shocked face she laughed.

"No I didn't read your mind nor did you spoke aloud but your face says it all. You shouldn't regret it.  I don't encourage arguments but when you are threatened you should stand up for yourself. I know what you did was not that great" I chuckled with embarrassment. "...but it's a start. You should stand up for yourself and not let anyone walk over you. And do avoid physical fights be classy don't stoop down to her level."
I smiled at her words.

  "I know there would be people, your loved ones who would be standing with you, for you but at some time of life you would be alone. At that time you shouldn't be scared but face your problems with your chin held up high." I felt myself tearing. She reminds me of my father when he would always encourage me.
