12 : Friend or Foe ?

I opened my eyes to see a girl holding the arrow and staring down at me. "Who are you intruder I know you are an elemental what are you doing here" the girl spatted. "I mean no harm please don't hurt me" I started crying. "Then what are you doing in this part of the forest" she asked again.

"I will answer but can you please lower the arrow" I requested because the sharp arrow in front of my eyes was putting me in edge. The girl put down the arrow and motioned me to stand up. I quickly stood up scared that she would kill me at any instance. "You have exactly 30 seconds to explain why you are here" she growled. Gosh she is so intimidating am literally shaking like a leaf. "Time is running out princess".

"I need to know about the blood elemental king the one who is rumored to be still alive" I rushed out nervously. the girls's face which was twisted in an angry frown went blank hearing my question.

"Are you insane...anyway you look like a good girl so I hope you go back the same way you came. Our teacher doesn't entertain these questions so kindly leave before I pierce this arrow through your heart" she said moving towards me. "No...no" terrified I moved backward. Seeing her eyes I know she wouldn't be hesitant to plunge the arrow inside me. "Please listen to me once....I have came this far please" I said holding her hands.

Suddenly the girl went pale, the arrow fell down from her hand. She shook off my hand as if my touch burnt her. "What...what was that...no it can't be" she mumbled to herself. She seemed to be disoriented its best that I run from here. glancing at her slightly I started running. There was no time to look behind to see if she is chasing me; I ran as fast as I can.

Suddenly a twig decided to be in my path and I fell down on the damp soil. The girl reached beside me and pulled me up to my feet. I tried to move but she hold my arm tightly. I still thought that she would kill me if I said anything so kept quiet and lowered my head. She raised my head and leaned forward; Surprised I jerked back but she clasped my head tightly. She closed her muddy brown eyes and touched her forehead with mine. I could see her concentrating on something. Suddenly she opened her eyes and stepped back. "How can be this possible" She mumbled to herself.

"Who are you?" she asked. I could see alertness in her eyes but why I can't even attack her.

"I am a water elemental" I answered nervously. "Only water ?" she asked irritated. I just nodded my head. "Aren't you royalty?" she asked pointedly.

"No I am just a nobleman's daughter. Look if you don't want me to meet the seer then I won't, but please let me go. I promise that I will never come back here" I pleaded desperate to escape from here. I should have just stayed in the cottage and not come here.

"No you will not go anywhere in fact I just changed my mind you will come to the seer" She said.

"Please I don't want to go anywhere with you....wait what you will take me to the seer seriously!!!" I nearly shouted. "Yes of course" she said nonchalantly.

"Wait you aren't taking me to kill somewhere right...." I asked cautiously. At this she laughed out loud. "Oh my how did a naive girl like you ended up here" She laughed looking at me.

I am not naive am just being cautious...don't want to take any risk" I retorted as bravely I can.

"You already took a big risk by stepping into this forest moreover I can't simply kill you otherwise your king will sure have my head and same goes for you too although I doubt you can even hurt me" she answered haughtily.
