Sapphire's POV
I woke up with a throbbing in my head.
I looked around to see that I was alone in the living room. I reached for my phone in my jeans pocket and my eyes widened to see the time. It was five in the morning. Suddenly everything came back rushing to me.I gasped as I realized that I had attacked Lavia last night and after that I couldn't remember anything. Quickly I tried to get up from the couch I was sleeping on but my feet got tangled with the sheets and I fell down with a thud.
I winced at the sound and hoped no one woke up."Well had a great night I guess" A voice said above me and I looked up to see Lana standing beside the coffee table with an ugly glare directed towards me.
"Look, I am sorry. I can explain, it wasn't me who attacked Lavia, like technically it was me but it wasn't my intention. I am really really sorry-"
"Shut up for once!! " Lana groaned and motioned me to sit down as she took a seat herself.
"I stopped you before you could attack her," Lana admitted. Hearing this I released a sigh of relief.
"What happened, I don't remember much" I asked to get a clearer picture.
"I was busy explaining to you but suddenly you stood up and tried to attack grandma with a pen but before you could even touch her, I knocked you out," Lana said, shrugging.
Clutching my head in my hands I let out a frustrated groan.
"You saw right? This is what I was talking about. I couldn't control myself from doing these barbaric things" I said with a disgusted look on my face."You are being manipulated dear."
I turned my head sideways to see Lavia entering the room with slow steps.
"Your unstable emotions are making you vulnerable enough to let someone enter your mind" Lavia said with a worried frown.
"But who would do that?" I asked, perplexed.
"Who do you think?" She said, raising an eyebrow.
"No way!! It couldn't be that rumored blood elemental king" I said not even believing my words.
"But why would it go after you? I mean you don't seem anything special to me" Lana said looking me up and down.
"I don't know?" It came out more like a question. I wasn't sure why he was after me or maybe I know but I don't want to admit it.
"Well whatever the motive is you are in trouble" Lana said letting out a whistle.
"She indeed is, " Lavia said. "And I think to gain control over you he's manipulating you into becoming evil just like a varlet."
I sat in silence processing this new piece of information. I looked up to see Lana kicking my foot lightly. I started to ask her but she glared at me which made me shut up. She pointed at me and then at her Grandmother.
I stared at her confused.
"Apologize," Lana mouthed to me.My eyes widening, I stood up immediately and went up to Lavia.
"Lavia about that attack. I am really sorry. I could have harmed you" I said as I felt the familiar knot of guilt forming inside me.
"It's okay dear I know that it wasn't you. No need to blame yourself," She said, meeting my eyes.
I kneeled down beside her and waited for her to continue.
"The matter we should acknowledge now is about you getting manipulated. It will not only harm others but it will be risky for you too."
