7: Blood Elemental

Ayo ladies and gentlemen. Here is the next chapter.

In previous chapter :- I crouched down to pick up the book. I picked up the book and out of pure curiosity opened the page which was bookmarked. I froze as I read the title 'Blood Elemental'.

Sapphire's POV

Before I could read further I felt someone touch my shoulder. Surprised the book slipped from my hand and fell on the floor. I turned around and came face to face with Arthur.
"Sorry I...I didn't mean to scare you" Arthur apologised.

"It's okay you just caught me off guard. So you came here to study."

"No, I was just passing from here so I thought I would meet you."

"But how did you know that I got detention to work here."

"Well gossip sure travels fast." Arthur said with a wink. Woah when did he became so bold.

"So...." I started not knowing what to say. Arthur and I were not so close and also I want him to go now otherwise he would see the book.

"How was your day." I asked lamely while I bent down to pick up the book without him noticing. But before I could even touch the book Arthur picked it up. "My day was fine. Say what were you reading." He turned the book and read the page which was bookmarked. Immediately I can see Arthur's smile fading and his face became pale. Oh good lord I am so doomed. I was not supposed to be seen with that. Blood elementals are taboo just like voldemort. Ugh why I have to be so stupid.

"Why the heck were you reading this Sapphire?" asked Arthur. Gone was his easy going smile and was replaced with a frown.

"I was reading...no I mean I was not reading that book, it just fell down from the shelf." I managed to stutter out.

"You shouldn't read this it's not good for you."

"I know I will just keep it back." I said anything to get him off my back.

"No I think I should take it with me..." Arthur started but I quickly cut him off.

"No! I will keep this back. I promise." I said while hiding my crossed fingers behind me. I am sorry Arthur but I need to find some answers and I am determined to find it.

"Okay I trust you." Arthur said sighing. I internally let out a breath of relief.

"Anyway I heard you had a brawl with Charlotte today." Arthur said ruffling my hair. I swatted his hand playfully. Arthur is not close to me like Zion but I still see him as my friend.

"Sorry I didn't mean to, I know she is your sister."

"No, I am glad you didn't let her walk over you. I love her very much but sometimes she could be difficult."
I gave him a look which said 'really'.

"Ok not sometimes but frequently difficult."

"At least she has a brother who loves her unlike some unlucky people." I said.

"Look Sapphire he will come around. Even he doesn't show it but deep inside Seb cares for you." Arthur said.

"Really ?"

"Yes, trust me on this Saph." I smiled softly at his words.

"Okay I should probably go but remember missy to keep that book away." Arthur reminded me sternly. "Sure, goodnight."

After Arthur left I released a sigh of relief. I am doing this a lot lately. Now I can work peacefully.But now it wouldn't possible for me to take this book with me. What should I do.
Wait, why I didn't thought of this before. I can click the photos of the pages on my phone. Yes ! I quickly clicked the photos of the pages that I think would be important. Just I closed the book someone came inside. Whatever happened to working peacefully.
