"So…."

"So what?" I asked, munching on a KitKat.

"So are you going to tell me where were you?" Zoe said, frustrated.

"No," I said simply.

Taking a deep breath Zoe murmured something before she opened her eyes and smiled at me.

"That's a weird smile," I said, offering her a bite.

Taking a bite from my KitKat Zoe simply sauntered towards her bedside and sat down. I was relieved that she wasn't asking me questions anymore.

"What are you doing?" I asked Zoe who was smiling weirdly as she scrolled down her phone.

"Oh nothing, just letting your mother know that you were not having a sleepover with me last night. I can only imagine what will happen if she knows, ''she said, winking at me.

Dropping my half eaten kitkat on the bed I rushed towards her and snatched the phone from her hands.

"Are you kidding me?" I asked, horrified.

"No I am not"

"Fine! I stayed at the cottage" I said.

"I should just call your mother," Zoe said as she tried to take her phone back.

"What now?" I asked huffing as I ran towards the other side of the bed.

"Your mother told me that they checked  and you weren't staying there" She said, rolling her eyes.

"Okay okay I stayed at a motel" I said, wincing at my lie.

"A motel? Seriously?" Zoe asked, looking at me strangely.

"I knew mother was going to look for me at the cottage and I wanted to be alone" I said, lying easily.

"Was it that bad?" I asked, looking at her face.

"It was because your mother almost blew my phone up, and I felt so bad lying to her" She said glaring at me.

Crossing the bed I reached towards her and pulled her in a hug. "I am so sorry and thank you for covering up for me"

"Next time if you're going to pull something like this make sure to inform me" Zoe said as we both finally sat down.

"I will, by the way, how is my brother?"

"Yeah, what did you do to him? You know his wrist is still not healed" Zoe said.

"But shouldn't his wrist be healed after some minutes of the injury?" I was confused.

"But it didn't" Zoe said.

"Maybe he's becoming weak" I said as Zoe slapped my arm.

"I can't even imagine how my mother will react after I go back," I said, shuddering as Zoe laughed.

"Zoe, were you really going to tell my mother if I wouldn't have said the truth?" I asked.

"Of course not," Zoe said grinning.

"Idiot," I said.

"Bitch" Zoe said and we both bursted out laughing.

"Hey Sapphire," Zoe called out after some time. We were now laying down with our legs hanging off the bed.

"Yes?"

"Yesterday I asked Zion about his behavior towards you" She said softly.

Immediately I laid on my side facing her.

"And?" I asked.

"He didn't want to answer at first but after my constant nagging he said something along the lines that it's for your good" Zoe said.
