"Jeongyeon-unnie? Why are you sad?"

Dahyun looked up at her unnie who spaced out for the third time within their 30 minutes of colouring books and reading princess stories. They just finished their dinner earlier but Jeongyeon didn't join them for two nights, she didn't want nor know how to face Jimin after that whole conversation with Mrs. Park — full of lies and denial. It's making her heart heavy as minutes and seconds passes by, it makes her nauseous that she wanted to just let all these emotions go. She knew she lost the bet and realized just now that she indeed has feelings for him.

"D-Dahyun-ah. I'm not sad. I guess your unnie is a bit tired today." She smiled, "Your mom bought you dresses earlier! Do you wanna try them out tomorrow?"

Dahyun smiled up to her and nodded her head in excitement. Jeongyeon stood up from her seat and cleaned the coffee table by the living room, indicating that it's Dahyun's bed time. Mrs. Park told her that she'll be bathing Dahyun for the whole stay and she'll be doing the dishes instead. After assisting Dahyun upstairs to her parents' room, she went downstairs to the kitchen to clean the dishes.

The whole kitchen was silent, enough for her space out once again until the kitchen knife accidentally slipped right through her hand, cutting a bit of her finger. She winced in pain out loud, dropping the knife in the sink.

"Yah, are you okay?"

Jeongyeon froze on her spot as she heard his voice behind him. She was still clenching on the wound to apply pressure, and Jimin's there shirtless with only his black jogger pants on, holding a water bottle that he brought out from the fridge just now. It wasn't helping her situation any better. Remembering all of the conversation she had earlier, she awkwardly shifted her gaze away from him,

"Y-Yeah, I'm good...!" Her response turned into a small squeak as she tries to keep herself calm.

Jimin raised an eyebrow from her weird behaviour lately. He remember her telling his parents that she already ate dinner but when he went outside for a drink, he saw her eating alone at some burger joint. Where's the confident Miss Yoo he's been talking to? He walked towards her, and she felt his presence near right away. She was about to distant herself from him but he grabbed her hand and placed it under the faucet with running water.

"For it to stop the bleeding and to reduce any inflammation, you have to wash it." He said.

He was holding her hand up until now as he put the band aid around her finger that he found from the cupboard below them.

Jeongyeon felt irritated from all of this. The way he held her hand like he was being so soft, him being so mean to her even though Jihyo told her a long time ago that he's attracted to her and now losing the bet in complete landslide.

Everything was just frustrating.

She harshly pulled her hand away from him. She didn't even say 'thank you'. She just wanted to run away from him, burn these feelings to the ground before it gets worse—

"Hey." His hand reached her arm where she spun softly, he pulled her towards him and all he see was Jeongyeon's glassy eyes, welling with tears.

"Don't touch me!" She tried pulling her arm away from him but Jimin once again spun her around, pinning her to the kitchen counter.

Her breathing became ragged, her chest heavily goes up and down as his scent enters her nose, it's suffocating.
