Chapter 23

Julie and Elmo woke up startled with the loud screaming voice of her father, Jonathan.

" Julie Anne!"

Marivic startled. It was the first time she heard her husband scream his lungs out. Dali-dali din siyang pumasok sa guest room, only to be stunned by the reason why his husband was screaming.

" Putangina! Julie Anne! Anong ginagawa ng lalaking yan sa pamamahay natin?! Sino yan!"

Jonathan's voice roared their entire house. Namumula ang mukha nito sa galit.

Julie and Elmo stirred, both slowly, sleepily opened their eyes and shocked looking at her furious father beside her mother who looked as shocked as her. Sino ba naman ang hindi mabibigla? She was laying flat above the man and they were both naked, basi sa nakikita ng magulang niya na ang tanging natakpan lang ng comforfer ay ilang pulgada lang galing sa pang upo at kalagitnaan ng likod nya.

" Oh my God! Elmo."

Julie looked horrified, grasped on his shoulders and hid her face on his neck... Elmo was immobile, speechless and looked as horrified as Julie.

" Jonathan, mahal. Please kumalma ka. Pag usapan natin ito."

Jonathan's hands were trembling, with clenched fist..he was so mad was understatement. He didn't expect Julie to do such a thing, like bringing a man into their house. He knew her as an obedient and respectful daughter. Never in his million thoughts would she do a drastic thing like this.

" Julie Anne! Bakit! Anong kagagahan ito?! Putangina naman!"

A tear fell from Jonathan's eyes...his shoulders were shaking.

" Mahal, tama na. Halika na muna. Hintayin natin sila sa living room. Dun tayo mag uusap."

Julie took the chance to get off from Elmo and rolled on his side, holding the comforter tightly as her tears fell on her cheeks...Elmo was still immobile.

Jonathan recognized Elmo's face, when they both sat on the bed, held a comforter to cover Julie Anne's body...his shoulders were shaking, his cries were close to weeping.

Jonathan trusted Elmo like his own son...the last time they met he was just testing him. He can't let him hurt Julie again, he was just making sure he's mature and brave enough to fight his love for his daughter, if he deserved a second chance to be part of their lives. He felt betrayed...all along he was right, he could sense something was going on between Julie and Elmo at Frencheska's wedding.

" Julie Anne! Pinalaki naman kita ng maayos! Bakit? Ano ang ginawa mo! Putangina Elmo! Pinagkatiwalaan kita sa anak ko! Tangina!"

" Mahal, tama na Jonathan. Kumalma ka! Hindi maayos to sa kakasigaw mo!"

Marivic tears fell from her eyes. She held onto Jonathan's arms.

Marivic glanced at Julie and Elmo before she dragged Jonathan out of the guest room.

" Julie, Elmo magbihis na kayo. Sumunod kayo pagkatapos nyong magbihis. "

Her voice was calmed but her eyes says differently, it was with fierce but at the same time with weary and disappointment. Nabigla din siya sa ginagawa ng panganay niya. Like Jonathan she couldn't think she would do such thing but Julie needs her more than anyone right now...gustuhin man niyang magalit dito kailangan niyang isantabi ang galit para tulungan itong harapin ang ama nito. Kalaignan niyang lawakan ang kanyang pag-unawa sa panganay niya, kahit mali ang ginawa nito.

Julie hugged Elmo tightly her body was trembling, tears coursing down her cheeks.

" Hussh baby, I'm here... I'm here. We'll talk to your Papa, everything will be okay. Let's get dressed. They're be waiting, after we talk to them, everything will be okay."
