Aang's POV
I'm not really sure what's going on, but hey Katara is taking me out for breakfast, she hasn't let go of my hand ever since we left the apartment, which I'm more then okay with, but she doesn't exactly seem happy, I'm not going to question it incase she gets even more upset, or even worse let's go.
A tea room for breakfast? Tea and food? Double win. The decor was slightly, how can I put this without sounding like a jerk? Old? Like very old person style, not that I'm complaining, if anything it makes me feel warm and cozy, almost like I'm surrounded by family, but hey I don't know what that actually feels like, so shut up inside voice.
"So..", we were sat at a booth a while ago, but we've been sat in silence ever since, Sokka finally had the courage to speak but his body was super tense, and his eyes kept darting towards the door, what is he so afraid of?
I looked from the menu to Katara, who was silent, sat up straight with no expression on her face, her eyes shooting daggers wherever she looked, ah I see now, she's scary as hell like this.
She looked at Sokka, somehow he got even more tense, "so?", he should just come out with what he wants to say, because Katara sounds impatient.
"I..", he looked down at the table as he spoke, I don't blame him, I couldn't look Katara in the eyes if she were like this.
"Hey, what can I get you today?", Zuko approached the table with a pen and notepad in hand, he sounded uninterested but when he noticed who was sat at the booth he was serving his eyes lit up, "oh, good morning guys, Katara".
I followed his eye line seeing it was mainly on her, I rolled my eyes and read out my order to him, Sokka seemed just as unimpressed as me at Zuko's interest this morning.
"So Zuko, hows Mai? Your girlfriend?", Sokka cleared his throat after reading out his breakfast order, and raised a brow waiting for Zuko's response.
"Yes", Zuko clearly wasn't listening, "and what would you like Katara?".
"That tea you made the other night at Sokka's was amazing, it would be great if you could make that again, if it's not too much trouble", she smiled slightly, but you could see she was still bubbling with rage inside.
"Yeah of course", he nodded and turned away to get started on our order, I usually go out of my way to be as friendly as possible to everyone I meet, even when they're not so friendly with me, but Zuko just makes me so damn mad.
"So back to what I was going to say, I slept with Yue last night", Sokka took a deep breath before he spoke.
"Yes I know, now don't say it again or I'll throw up", Katara sighed interrupting him.
"Okay okay, well after that I noticed I had a missed call but didn't see who it was, went back to my call history and noticed, I accidentally dialled someone whilst y'know", he became more and more uncomfortable with what he was saying.
"Who did you dial Sokka?", Katara sounded shocked now, but there was still a lot of anger in her tone.
"Suki..", he sighed, he seems annoyed with himself? Thank god he didn't dial Katara or this would be a totally different story, one where his head would be on a spike.
"Suki?", Katara's voice softened, am I missing something? Why are they both acting like this? Is Suki of some importance here? Well obviously, god stupid inside voice.
"You need to talk to her", Katara frowned.
"Talk to her!? She heard me and Yue-", Sokka raised his voice.
"Yes I know, but leaving it won't help anything will it?", Katara cut him off before he could finish what he was saying.
"You're right, you're always right, and this was what I was expecting of you, telling me to do something that I definitely won't do and then we all know what happens next don't we?", Sokka crossed his arms whilst Katara remained silent during his tantrum.
