Mai's POV
"Hey", I said as I walked into this woman's room, she welcomed me with a smile, what a weirdo.
"Mai, it's a pleasure to meet you", she watched me stand by the door, "you can join me", she offered me to kneel beside her.
"No I'm sure this won't take long, just tell me what I want to know", I crossed my arms and raised a brow.
"And what is it you want to know?", Aunt Wu kept her eyes on me, she looked confused.
"Aren't you supposed to be some sort of psychic?", I questioned her, something about this woman just screams fake. I've always been a 'non-believer', and this Aunt Wu lady isn't helping me think differently.
"You are an interesting case, I've had many people who aren't believers in my sight but you're a harder nut to crack, but I can indeed answer your questions", she stood and walked over to me, I wasn't expecting her to move.
"Okay then answer them", I huffed avoiding eye contact with her, she's stood extremely close to me.
"You will be happy if you give in to it, you could have the brightest future if you let go of your act, if you do not, you could live the darkest and loneliest life I have ever seen", her face dropped, she was making sure she came across completely seriously. "Take in what I said girl", she opened to door to let me leave.
I didn't say anything just took in what she said and left, she's just said what others have been saying my whole life, I don't know whether to care or not that it came out of her mouth.
But it makes me uneasy.
Zuko's POV
Mai came back not looking to happy, although it's not an unusual sight to see.
I stood up and made my way to the sanctuary without a word, I'm sure Aunt Wu will tell me what Mai heard, we aren't exactly the most stable of couples, of course I want to hear about our future but I am more concerned about these signs I've been seeing today.
I knocked on the door and waited for her to welcome me inside, I waited until she offered me a place to kneel with her and did so, she seemed to just stare at me.
"Aunt Wu, I want to ask you about so many things", I took a deep breath waiting for her response but she didn't give me one, "My mother left years ago, I want answers for her actions", again I waited until she spoke.
"I cannot tell you about your mother, all I can say is what I see ahead of you", she smiled softly, knowing how much it would disappoint me, I wanted to throw an Azula tantrum because I've been waiting for answers for so long now, but if she can't help then there's no use.
"Okay, what of my relationship? With family, friends and lover?", I asked, surely she can answer this, maybe my mom will be in my future somehow.
"You will be surrounded by love that you have missed out on in your early years, but know that this love will not fill the hole your mother left", she sighed heavily, I sort of already knew that though, not the love bit, I just know this is something I can never move on from.
"Anything else?", that can't be all she's giving me, there must be more to say then I'll just be loved.
"You will be head of your family, with a child and partner, your future is prosperous, your forever beloved will love your flaws, they will be closer to you now then ever before", she smiled, I have a pretty good future to look forward to, she didn't say it was Mai? Maybe that's why Mai was so upset earlier, Aunt Wu must have told her about my future and her not being a part of it.
